keep your lead foot pointing at the opponent, and keep your rear foot hidden behind your lead foot. Keep your opponent behind your Rifle,,, your Jab. When you throw the Jab, flick it out with your hip. Moves with your hip,s and not your shoulders.

I think the first example is max power, not the second. Stronger wrist support/arm strength. The alternative you're adovcating is cleaner but less powerful

I’m 6 years late but I’ve spent the last few months trying to unpack these videos. I’ve seen some of them at least 2-3x and gain something new. Please continue to make new videos.

Yes! I've been telling people thsi for a long time. As a puncher, i loved it when I get the opponent to escape to the left. Many pivot with the escaper... why? Just spear him to the left; body or head. Knowing where you're going to hit , when, and what range = extreme power.Great job !

Outstanding. Great setup, excellent fundamentals, and most importantly really important brainstorming skills to help implement it into experience. Great video

Haven't seen anyone talk about the other guy's reflexes at 0:32, Marvin wasn't even looking at him when he showed the Cross, yet the dude opened his palm to block it.

The difference between a fight and a street fight seems to be foot work. Given we separate all the other non combative differences like the area location , the social aspect , if it’s two on one, if there’s weapons etc (which in that case it’s most smart to just run if possible ) I can imagine a guy swinging with every intent to do damage giving up his balance and paying for it with a swift side step jab straight.

His straight right hand punch is very short he is an out boxer but he actually has to come very close to land the right and jts steange. It seems oposite to what others do teach

WTF happened to this guy? He made this series 8 years ago, since then nothing. Dude should have a channel and be dispensing instruction full time. He'd have 500k subscribers and decent income from it all with the right hustle

he probably dealt drugs and shot someone. That's what people like him do, they don't value life. shame really but his parents taught him wrong, then there cry about it because there black.

@Marvin Cook Question, when I throw my cross, my fist lands slightly diagonally from my shoulder (e.g. instead of directly in front of my left shoulder because I’m left-handed, it lands in front of my right shoulder, diagonally across my body). How can I correct this? Please advise.
@martina62122 жыл бұрын
Shadow box more. Sometimes in hitting a bag or sparring you can develop bad habits or just start doing it wrong. If you are shadow boxing in a you won’t force a punch at such an awkward angle because nothing is there to catch the punch besides your center of gravity which will throw you off balance. Also when possible shadow box in front of a mirror.
