I cant tell you how much I value your videos. You are an excellent teacher and have done more for my conceptual understanding of the 1-2 in 10 minutes than 10 hours of watching other videos. Thanks man. It makes total sense that when you are turning the hip you dont want to leave your foot far behind you, but I never thought about it. I cant wait to try this out in training tomorrow and I am becoming a member tonight. Thanks again.

Hi JD, I was sidelined for two months and was worried my first day back at training would waste me in the first hour. Instead, I went two hours straight and barely broke a sweat! I don't feel tired or anything. If nothing else, the training itself is great for keeping in shape. I'm still really self conscious about shadow boxing. 😂 I'd almost - almost - rather get hit. 🤣 These routines are good to follow along with and I appreciate your work allot. Respect. 🥊

@@PrecisionBoxing beautiful... That is EXACTLY what I was interested in. Exit strategies and angles can actually "sow the seeds of doubt" when an opponent is responding to a combination. I've seen fighters struggle to effectively counter punch or atleast need a moment to reset their offense because of changes in angles and tempo. This is invaluable! Thanks again

It seems your lead leg is going forward first @5:00 s when you jump in with your jab ( explosive jab) , and then your back foot is pushing?? Am I right? Or is it more like a back skip ( first back foot goes first then follow the lead foot) forward) or may be both legs are going simultaneously?? Where does the impulse come first?? Back or lead leg??? That's great advice in the beginning. Best thing to think about when throwing anything is knowing what ur at risk for coming back at you and making the defensive maneuver necessary. This can be based alot on yr opponents strengths and weaknesses but in training I always try to add a defensive maneuver with my combos. Like head movement of footwork. I was always told if ur feet aren't moving, ur head should be. Stretching a dope across the ring and tbrowing my combonations around it really helped me with this concept and then start to use the movements in everything so it just becomes apart of my style. Great video though great technique I really enjoyed it.

I remember since I was a little girl how my dad was always trying to teach me and my two sisters how to box. He had a punching bag in the garage with his Mexican flag colors gloves and my mom pink Everlast gloves hanging on the wall. I remember the punching bag flying and the chain where it was hanging from rattling. He would always order the fights on paper view. He was a fan of paco and de la Hoya. I regret not having no interest. He even enrolled us in the boys and girls club they were giving lessons. and mom bought us the proper clothing, tennis, gym bag. Me and my sisters were born back to back. So we were about 9 or 10. We were very sheltered, shy, we only lasted one hour! 😂 I should have stuck it out! I really want to learn now. Cuz I'm in it to win it

In the 1 variation, would you take your head off Centerline with the jab or the straight? I was told to do it ok the first punch, but if I have to do the 1-2 fast it feels a lot easier dipping the head to the left with the right hand? Instead of going right left with the head. If that makes sense.

Im a beginner boxer, my brother taught me that when im walking in boxing the leg closes to that direction should move first (eg. Walk frontwards my left leg, backwards right leg, leftwards left leg, rightwards right leg). For the back leg to move closer to the center it makes it able to lanch more distance so it is different from walking in boxing? Sorry if i sound confusing, thanks
