That opening long Jab to the face, ohh I know that well. Wakes you up though. 💪
when he got reach and height you work your way in and destroy his body then follow up to the head dont forget to feint and let him bite we want him to also shoot his load work defense block evade parry headmovement and forearm cross arm defense cause just know even with reach its hard for a taller apponent to hit your body they leave themselves exposed when your close enough. i know all this from sparring lightheavyweights and cruiserweights. much bigger and taller than me, and besides that initate first dont hesistate youll only give your opponent time to think and give him more cofidence so adavnce forward but remeber side to side and always anticipate your opponent having to throw downwards so use your legs start squatting more so you have that spring in your legs.

@@ezelegui7901 ?? mentioning mike Tyson in this case is irrelevant. First of all ,the guy in the video isn't mike, he's shorter than mike (mike was 5'10-11) and just doesn't have the same body composition of mike so it doesn't make sense to compare him to someone he's nothing like. And for two, most short fighters do in fact get best by taller fighters, because the difference in height and reach is too much to overcome. And plus even though Tyson destroyed most tall boxers, he still lost to the ones who used their height and reach properly

For a shorter fighter you should learn the mike Tyson peak-a-boo style, he had a shorter reach and lack height against his opponents, he would use good head movement and stay and a square like stance. He also had great footwork against his taller opponent. Mike would use powerful shot like the overhand and get good body shots. Mike was 5”10 ko’ing guys 6”2 plus. Look how mike Tyson fought 6”6 Jose Ribalta

@ppshchik10 ай бұрын
He could've used more feints and uppercuts since shorter boxers are reliant on counters.
@Ufhhh1210 ай бұрын
, he cant counter going backwards which is essential for a tall boxer, not enough footwork especially in defense.
@jelm431510 ай бұрын
He was on the defensive a lot of the time (understandable, he doesn't look too experienced and was against pretty high power opponents). Focussed a lot on the jab, very good idea for keeping your opponent at a distance when you have longer limbs but he didn't follow up with any big right hand shots so was pretty predictable and didn't really "scare" his partner off. His defence was constant but a bit loose, you can see his hands being smacked out of the way, should keep it tighter to the head and watch out for incoming body shots, moving the tight defence up and down. Ultimately he doesn't use his height to his advantage very much, you want to keep your sparring partner at a distance and practise good footwork for when your likely shorter opponent moves in for inside shots.
@TheSpartanboy109 ай бұрын
Not incorporating a style the best allows him to utilize his limb advantage and One thing most people undermine especially a taller fighter is clinching, which he did well. Make sure you do it when the shorter guy gets to close to avoid taking excessive damage.
@steverogers76018 ай бұрын
He’s not using his jab enough. He’s not that good at maintaining his range and keeping his opponent at a distance. He needs more sparring to practice his advances and tactics for shorter boxers.
