Just an added tip, sometimes a bigger opponent may still have much weaker legs than you. They also don't have as good a center of gravity. If you have really strong legs, you can round house near or, even better, slightly behind the knee area and knock them over. Don't be afraid to analyze your opponent's weaknesses and use them against them. When I did MMA we didn't always have partners of the same weight class and we would have to fight bigger much taller opponents. Whether you are kicking or going in and grabbing the legs both seem to work very effectively against tall people. Remember what they say, "The bigger they are the harder they fall".

I'm 6'5 I trained MMA for 11 years since the age of 17 I stopped training but i still workout for sure and i have strong legs.. i'm not trying to show off.. what i'm saying is that it depends..you never know your opponent fighting iq or if he knows anything about fighting or not I think it depends on the person and what you're encountering..i myself have a mentality of full potential (non stop Smashing) "without deadly or incapacitating strikes" if it's going to get dirty..so it depends on every situation But you know at the end of the day A knife,a bullet, a machete Any shit could kill a giant or a dwarf People need to learn patience and humbleness..that's a true fighter and that's what i figured out over years, we are weak asf more than we might think of..Certain punches to certain spots could kill us an virus could..Humbleness is key God bless and stay safe

Those front kicks could easily have been grabbed, and in a street fight, you don't want to have a larger opponent having a grip on one of your legs. Also getting inside a larger opponent will take some skill with the risk of the larger opponent grabbing you in his clutches. I think counterattacks or surprise attacks are the most productive. Agile continual movement is best.

This tutorial was better than I thought it would be. There was a lot of common-sense, realistic advice given. The sparring demonstrations were practical with not a lot of "fanciness" or sensationalism. The light-hearted, comedic approach of being serious, but not taking yourself too seriously, was greatly appreciated. I clicked on this video thinking I was going to be entertained by some demonstrations of complicated techniques but was pleasantly surprised. Nicely done!

European Fox this is true. Like he said at the end of the video. You need to build up the kick, basically you need to train it. Aim just above the hip area and they will bend faster than Marilyn Monroe. If thats to high and you are afraid of the situation you mentioned, you can always aim for the knee cap with the heel of your foot and snap that puppy right off

It depends what you trained in the past and if you was an active fighter or not. I e.g. have an amateur career behind me and train Boxing for more than 15 years now, that means in the ring I had opponents of different body heights to fight. That's why it's easy for me to hit taller opponents. You need experience and you will only get it in the ring and some bleedings ;).

I use my masters secret unbeatable technique passed down through many generations. If you face a fight, no matter how large your opponent, trust me, use this. First, pass your jacket or coat etc to your friend/girlfriend so it's easier to move (you should do this when you sense a fight is coming), now begin to summon your chi energy, this move requires excellent stamina and extremely strong legs, now take a deep breath and at the top of your lungs scream 'run for your lives' and gtfo.

One of my favourite moves used to be spinning leg sweep after which I would come up and follow through, and in most cases the sweep was so effective that it took my opponent out of the fight for falling on his neck and get Wiplash, until one day I had to fight an opponent 60 kg heavier than me. He laughed at my spinning leg sweep and wouldn't move, actually hurt myself on him, was like trying to sweep an oak tree. His punches sent shock waves through my body to every nerve end. End result, he devoured me, but learnt when the same thing repeated on street, simply to use a weapon.

I got beaten by a not just bigger but also a way more experienced guy in a Taekwondo dual meet a few days ago. It was frustrating. I remember I watched this video before, I wish I would’ve seen it again before that meeting. Next time I’ll bring new strategies, I guess. I should have moved which I didn’t. Didn’t came to my mind. Instead I decided to defend myself after the second half of the fight. It wasn’t that bad, becauseI managed to block all the attacks after that, I actually was able to sent him to the floor with a “not so clean” defense but I still ended up with a “I would have liked to have been able to connect a couple of good kicks” feeling.
@Craccockahine
@Craccockahine 3 жыл бұрын
I didn’t watch it yet but 1. Don’t be afraid to get hit, quickly find a way to beat him before he beats you 2. Learn his range whether you need you lure him in or throw jab to get him to counter 3. I would hope you know this before fighting but it is imperative that you quickly determine how many steps you need to get to him 4. Use what you know to find the least likely to get hit angle and strike. I’m 187lbs and I never thought the day would come when I could say I can confidently take down a 300lb man in seconds but that day has come

My old man is bigger than the big guy in the video muscle mass wise naturally. That's actually what he always did to people. He would also pull sweep kicks on people. When he was younger he got into fights for fun. One of his most nasty moves was his neck grab and chock hold. lol.

Some efficient kicks and devastating follow up punches go a long way. It's been some years since iv gotten into it. But at only 5'9 around 210 . In the past iv been able to hold my own against some monsters by keeping distance, implying basic leg kicks with hard follow up hand strikes. Biggest regret is not keeping up with basic training. Good luck out there fellas . Keep your heart in it, and you will be able to give it your true all

I've seen somebody in a street fight try kicking his opponent. It was a devastating result, the guy grabbed his foot then got him to the ground, got on top and beat the hell out of him. Also, sometimes in a streetfight you don't always have room to run around avoid his swings.

False. I won against three guarilla girls basically by throwing kicks and almost no punches. My whole strategy was to keep them away from me and that was effective as I am almost 6. My kicks were extremely painful and effective. We also used cars, etc to give us time and a break. I used a car and ran behind it as soon as one girl took off her shoe which was like a knife because of its long/thin heel.
