Coach Fran Sands, You are the most amazing boxing video instructor I have ever known sir!! Seriously, you are like next level genius in your YT videos coach! I don't cruz to the gym too often but I have been training for only about 1.5 years to better understand pugilism so I can better defend myself sir. Coach, I guess I just wanted to say I hope you have a groovy 2020 sir, I would be so completely lost without your videos which are training me basic beginner pugilism for self defense coach! I hope you rock them hard as you always do sir! Aloha and all my respect for your guidance and training sir!

These are definitely some of my favorite videos, starts off with the psychology of fighting, then includes the way to carry yourself in the stresses of a fight, and ends on a positive note. Always great videos!

Franz these techniques were beautiful, absolutely... I'm going to study them like crazy and add them to my art... I'm studying to be a sort of a marshall boxer... But I will always have boxing as my number one core... you have educated me so much and I'm sure a lot of these people as well, please hang in there and very much please take care of yourself... We want a lot more Franz LOL

Listen ask for whether or not a boxer can win in a street fight I think anybody who ask a question like that that's so simple it shouldn't be boxing they should be going to school trying to get some common sense the instructor just doesn't want to say he's not training people to go out picking on people and beating people up he does it for a sport not a street fight bully thing it's common sense you got a person that don't know nothing too much about fighting just throwing his arms and you got a person that's crying and throwing his arms for maybe three years of training and throwing in training and punching in throwing for years who do you think is going to win you got a person that knows how to fight versus the person that don't know how to fight common sense thank you

Thankyou Fran... just discovered your videos... game changer for me. Are these drills better rehearsed on a heavy bag or with a pad holder in front of you?
@myboxingcoach4 жыл бұрын
Practice them in isolation Rodney, they are a standalone activity. Over time they will translate into your faster work on bags and pads

After almost a year ‘with’ Fran I’ve rediscovered this video and it so useful for bag work and definitely sparring as I find a lot of boxers don’t use these movements and are off guard when faced with them. Left hook-pivot 1-2-3 is my fave and the one I’m best at so far✔️✔️✔️🥊

Do you most of the time avoid going to the right because otherwise you are going straight into the cross?
@erikbritz80954 жыл бұрын
not always remember the lead hook lands when you are moving to the Ortho's right and you can just duck under the right cross when it's fired if needed.

Fran Sands, I love your videos. I’ve been heavily focusing on trying to employ more rolls, Bob and weave into my sparing. I work a lot of partner drills, but when it comes to sparring, I can’t get my timing and distance worked out. Maybe my drills aren’t lining with with my sparring. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers.
@myboxingcoach4 жыл бұрын
Start with slips and ducks rather than rolls Jeremiah (which are mechanically more complex). Do the slips and ducks proactively. So fire, slip, fire duck...slip fire. Make everything about the legs, avoid slipping at the waist. Give that a go👍
@jeremiahmac7174 жыл бұрын
Fran Sands thanks for the direction. I appreciate it.
