Not true! Right handed southpaws are flooding boxing and the right hook is now the best weapon against other southpaws and orthodox boxers

Understanding the 5 ranges was a great introduction. Then explaining the punches for each range was brilliant!!! You describe the problem, then show the solution in a way that makes sense, therefor easy to remember. Great Video! The Force is wit U, best wishes for 2025.

He explained it A bit wrong. Right foot in front is south paw , left foot in back is orthodox. Additionally , if you lean forward to the point where you get off balance the foot that catches you (WITHOUT THINKING) is your lead foot.

Ore nuggets of wisdom as usual. Thanks coach! I would add some variations of these basic punches: Razor Ruddock's the smash The gazzelle punch Many jab variations The mexican hook to liver Jack Dempsy's Jolt punch The coffe cup punch The vertical punch Soviet overhand hook But admittly they are only variations of the basics ones.

If Sanchez was so perfect, why did he lose to Antonio Becerra? And why did Azumah Nelson, a fighter who had been given only two weeks to prepare for Sanchez, happen to be the toughest and the greatest fighter Sanchez ever fight? There have been thousands of fighters who didn't fight the way Sanchez did, but became all time greats. Manny Pacquiao won tiles in 8 weight divisions. How did he do it? Jesse Walcott, Roberto Duran and Azumah Nelson won titles at the age of 37. George Foreman won a title at the age of 40 and Bernard Hopkins won a title at the age of 45. How did these all time greats do it. Sanchez did not fight long enough to earn the recognition as the greatest fighter in history. If he had not died, a rematch between Sanchez and a well prepared, well trained Azumah Nelson was waiting for him and a win could go either way. A war against the great Alexis Arguello could also go either way. Since styles make fights, and Antonio Becerra beat Sanchez, another style could also beat Sanchez if he had fought long enough

Your gut is left open and your stance is to side on by the time you do the upper cut your gone because its to long to deliver cat skills is much better

Thanks for this video analysis. From reading comments about modern boxing versus boxers from the classic era, it is evident that a lot of younger people discount how great Joe Louis really was. It isn’t a comprehensive proof, but one thing you can easily do is give Joe Louis the “ slow motion test.” watch some of his combinations in slow motion as compared to most modern boxers and notice how his punches land with such perfect form, on the correct part of the knuckles and with tremendous weight transfer. Just food for thought. Cheers all.

Great comment. I'm doing more and more thinking about boxers of yesteryear vs today. All of that talk about nutrition, sports science etc. I just don't think it matters as much in boxing as it does in other sports. Those guys, Joe Louis included, could do damage today like they did back then.
