I agree. They are a good source of info.

Yeah boxing science is legit, i tried both Phil daru’s program and boxing science’s strength and conditioning program and i gotta say boxing science’s program is more practical in terms of time. What i mean is if you have a day time job but you box at the same time and at some point you will want to level up your game so strength and conditioning becomes a must Boxing science’ s program wont get you bulk up imo if you stay light but it will definitely helps you to be less prone to injuries Trust me, you will hate any sort of injuries and can’t box for months

I'm going to buy it now lol. I'm just trying to stay in shape for the kiddos and keep the weight off.

I 100% agree with this. I have bought both Phil Daru's Heavy Hitter program and Boxing Science's TLAC program. I love Daru's content, but his programming seems to be aimed more at professional fighters who can afford to spend all day in the gym and train multiple times per day. With Boxing Science, it's much more practical since it only focuses on one thing per day (whether that's conditioning or strength training) and the workouts can easily be done in 30-60 minutes, but they're very intense and effective too.

Am I right in thinking this route is appropriate and applicable as a cool down at the end of a training session as well ?

According to spine professor Stuart McGill "Lunges with twists, especially with weights, create high compressive forces on the spine". Any thought on this, given it's part of your regime at 1.58? Thanks.
@skipeveryday72825 жыл бұрын
What's wrong with compressing the spine? Some reverse hypers you are golden. Anything heavy on your back will compress the spine surely? Maybe I'm not understanding you.
@tonyneillaw5 жыл бұрын
@@skipeveryday7282 Compression, especially with added rotation, has a shearing effect on vertebral discs. Reverse hypers and the high newton metric force placed upon them (especially at speed), is very damaging. Simple sit ups for example put 3300 nm on lumbar discs while being an ineffective way of training abs, while training with a neutral spine however for core is not only more effective yet doesn't damage discs. I don't expect the average gym goer to know this, but I would've thought "boxing scientists" would be aware of the clear data on such exercises. I suggest you look up P.H.D PROFESSOR Stuart McGill and read his material, as it will save your spine!
@nomadicadam22605 жыл бұрын
@@tonyneillaw yeah, McGill is pretty much THE go-to spine expert in the world, so I'd be interested in seeing Boxing Science address this. These are legitimate concerns.
