After Ruiz said to his mom "we don't have to struggle any more" after beating Joshua how could you not love that guy?
@t.m.t32155 жыл бұрын
Makes me think of Marciano coming to fetch his father at the factory where the old man had been working all his life. "Come father you don't have to work here no more". The old man got up without a word and left with his son. That sentence from Ruiz will be one of the great quotes of that heavyweight era.

I honestly can't believe how much everyone is jumping down AJ's throat "the downfall of boxer Anthony Joshua" it is seriously laughable, the guy has lost once in his professional career. Along the way he has beaten, Dyllian Whyte, Charles Martin, Dominic Brezeale, Joseph Parker, Wladimir Klitscko, Carlos Takam, Povetkin....before you guys call them bums, these guys are all ranked fighters and are some good opponents from what's available. Congratulations to Andy Ruiz for beating AJ, im genuinely really happy for the guy he seems like a top bloke, but lets call a spade a spade. Something was clearly wrong with AJ that night, the delay for his ring walk, he was sweating buckets before the fight even started, then all the strange comments he was making in the corner, followed by his dad trying to attack Eddie Hearn when the fight was over. One loss on your record doesn't or shouldn't mean your a done fighter, every HW in recent history all took losses, Ali, Lewis, Tyson, Fraizer, Holmes, Foreman, Holyfield just to name a few. Ruiz is a very creditable fighter with one loss to Joseph Parker which he arguably won, I see a lot of people after the AJ fight saying how good of a fighter Ruiz is but the same people slating AJ for losing to him 😂 I think AJ will do a demolition job on Ruiz in the rematch, just my opinion but for me that wasn't AJ in the ring the first time around. Oh and im actually a huge Fury fan and think hes the best of the lot, I also think Wilder would KO AJ so im not up AJ's arse I just don't get how everyone drops him after one loss......rant over lol
@ohsoquick87254 жыл бұрын
dalie1990 preach to this. I’ve been following AJ since his amateur career, and that night he wasn’t himself. Any big fan of AJ could tell that, even the commentators said something isn’t right “he doesn’t like the same AJ we saw last fight” we will never know what happened unfortunately but we completely out boxed Ruiz in the rematch and went the distance and proved he has ring IQ and showed how far he has come. We just recently saw Fury steamroll Wilder which due to wilder making excuses there’s gunna be a rematch in June or around that time. After seeing what I saw if AJ was to improve his defence game ALOT I actually think he stands a very good chance against Wilder if they were to ever face off. But on the other hand I just don’t feel AJ is experienced enough to take on Fury. Everything about Fury (in my opinion) is just perfect, I personally think he’s one of the best defensive fighters and not to mention his amazing ring IQ and heavy hitting punches. I hope to see a AJ vs Fury fight in the future just to see how well AJ matches up against the king of the heavyweight division. Who knows maybe we even see one of boxing’s biggest upsets?

@joser51o5 жыл бұрын
Usyk will most definitely slow down now that he is moving up to heavyweight and will lose strength since heavyweight is not his natural weight. But chill its not like these are official fight night ratings. To do actual comparisons of each of these fighters speed,power,stamina,etc would be tremendously time consuming imagine having to watch and compare every single fighter in every single fight . just because a boxer was super fast in one fight you dont give him a 90 rating in speed you have to watch all of his fights then compare him to the rest of the boxers and see where that fighter stacks in all of that then repeat for power,chin,etc

Well, to be fair, Ruiz has only fought two top ten heavy weights. We really don't know much about him yet. I want to see him in the rematch and if he wins, some top flight contenders before I can really make any determinations.

No comment on the amazing year and wins that Dillian Whyte has produced recently, the WBC and WBO number one who is constantly denied a title shot ?
@ploddodd5 жыл бұрын
Yeah, Whyte has been active, taken out some decent opponents, and yet it is always "just one more away from title shot...", I love it that he doesn't wait around for title fights, however, he should have had a shot at a title by now.

Ruiz.. Talk softly, carry a big stick. Trash talk is all good fun, but once in awhile guys with good old humility and respect can be pretty nice too. Excited to see where this guy go's from here, now that we saw him soundly outbox AJ it'll be great to see new challengers come up to face him. Supposing AJ doesn't land that one big punch I suppose.
