I'm sure you guys can answer this but one of the turn offs for gamers about this TV is the lack of VRR, it is possible that they could add that system through a software update right? I know it's already very smooth but LG adding it in via update would be icing on the cake.

I've been interested in this TV (the 65 inch actually) as I have a Xbox Series X, PS5 and a High Powered PC (don't have a 30 Series NVIDIA GPU yet but I would like to get one once the prices for them come down). And this TV has basically everything I would like to have for a 8k TV, but doesn't have the VRR, but would like to know why this TV doesn't need it exactly, when connecting a PC up to it is it something in the TV settings that is helping keep the Framerate smooth without this feature or what is it?

Wonder why LG didn't include VRR or a ATSC 3.0 tuner?

Absolutely not.

This has 8K so the transmission signal is high enough as regarding refresh rate for most games.

Hey, would you recommend this TV or the LG G1 evo?

Hi there. NIce video. One question. Im not sure if the panel can rotate side to side, on the horizontal axis.
@BoxCoUk3 жыл бұрын
Hi! I'm not sure what you're asking but the panel is fixed to the stand on the base so it won't rotate at all. Thanks for watching 😊👍

Is no vrr on the 8K a major loss compared to having vrr on the 4K model for gaming? I would like the 8K model for future proofing and the advanced chip but see the 4K is better for gaming now. Maybe next years 8K will implement vrr?

Hi! I definitely think the lack of VRR on this TV is purely down to having the high power processor and other enhancing tech that kind of eliminates the need for it. I feel you do need it on some of the low end, budget 4K TV's just to give it a boost but I guess 8K tech is relatively new where as 4K TVs have very much been perfected by various brands that next gen gaming is easily matched for quality and performance right now. Hopefully 8K LG TV's bring it eventually!

The need for vrr is due usually to limitations of the gaming console or PC. if you are a heavy gamer i would go for the lg oled G1 or C1 that only offers 4k. I bought one. Im happy. Disc formats will take a long long time to change dvd to 1080p took ages 1080p to 4k. Broadband streaming i doubt will have 8k standands on mere popular wifi..think of interference & house sharing etc.

I was debating between the LG C1 77 inch OLED and this LG Qned 99 8k. I game a lot too. It does have HDMI 2.1 , 120hz but where is the Vrr? I heard the panels (IPS) panels were not good good as they have dirty screen affect... Thanks so much... Nick

For some reason, this TV doesn't have VRR but it has absolutely everything else you could possibly need to enhance gaming. Thanks for watching! Glad you liked the review 👍

@@BoxCoUk GREAT JOB! It's between this LG Qned 99 and the LG C1 77 inch. I do game maybe 1 to 2hrs a day and the rest is used for TV and movies via my Xbox series X. What do you think i should do? Is Vrr that important? Variable refresh rate.. I do have my 65 in x930e edge lit TV on a lot. It's 4 yrs old and I need to get ready for battlefield 2042😂😂 and the new era of 4k 120hz. I like the idea of the LG being 8k too. I wonder how it upscales sdr and 4k. Thanks, Nick
