The theatricality accompanying this Purcell pion during a funeral service is stunning. How well Aksel and the other singer-players convey the heartfelt and sad moments that brings their Purcell funereal-piece so beautifully to life? Makes you wonder how many other sung pieces, one thinks of Robert Schumann and others, that could also similarly be 'theatrically sung'. Thank you

When I watched this I could understand how that boy felt. Cause when my dad died 42 years ago I was a little child myself and found me in exactly that situation. I hat to sing in front of an audience - a song not of love but the text was about that we have to pass away some day and that our Lord will still be our savior. But that day I didn't feel anything while singing. No fear, no hate, no angry ... but afterwards I was so terribly sad that Icoudn't move anymore. I stood still, pale and in die end shivered so bad. I whished to run away but coudn't. I hadn't thought of this for so many years but it all came back just the second that boy went in front of all the people there. And he became me and I became him, that lonely and grieving child again. I thought never to feel that way again.

@Utred20127 жыл бұрын
Best of luck to you with your voice change, Aksel. One piece of voice change experience I will offer is that I found that during the change the lower end of my treble range was actually weaker than the higher end - there was a while during my change where I preferred to sing Soprano over Alto because the notes around middle C just were not there. It straightened out by the time I was singing tenor, though. The SATB boychoir (yes, they exist) I joined after encouraged tenors and basses to develop and use their falsettos, so I managed to not lose it entirely. So it may not be quite the same, but you might not necessarily have to lose ALL of these notes.
@robertolsen93277 жыл бұрын
I am so glad, then, that we have the recordings of your younger voice on video, on the CD that is already made, and on the one that is coming out soon -- I hope. It will be like listening to Placido Domingo when he was a boy.

R. GIES

If it was real, I agree it would have been harsh, but this was an opera performance made to seem real. They were all very nice people :)
