In 1976 USA sent CIA agents to plan and fund a Military coup d'etat in my country (Argentina) Now in 2024 the same is happening, but instead of a Military coup its an Economical one 🐍 There will never be World Peace and progress to the Global South with USA as Humanity's Bully

I had a mate in the 90s who was a political activist dude, and got caught trespassing on some govt thing to graffiti some activist slogan or something. He got to court and defended himself and his argument was that it was aboriginal land so he doesnt recognize that it was trespassing. AAaaaaand the judge for some reason accepted that , complimented his daring and dismissed the charges (My guess is that the particular govt agency had *really* done something to piss the judge off). The dudes now a major lawyer lol

@Hllysfkpln

yea, i dont know what they were thinking it sounded like a little bit like "haha our ball went over the line we want to go and get it but we cant" but if i was in charge of security of a secret base i would definitely be concerned about something disguised like a soccer ball like soccer balls are hollow by design but how can i know these "youtubers" are to be trusted and not funded by terrorists/they are marginalized themselves and didnt put spyware/explosives etc. inside the ball. i am not saying aleksa and the gang did something like this but even regular police over there start blasting on the sound of an acorn falling so whos to say what would they do in that scenario. it was very ballsy and/or dumb decision to do such thing but still a fun bit i guess and i am not their mother lol.

I know this is portrayed as an elaborate shitpost, but I think you have made an extremely important point about what it means to be a sovereign nation, what it means to have a functional democracy, and the kind of two-faced shenanigans that supposedly democratic countries get up to. I would rank this video among the best of the likes of sasha baron cohen. Satire is a very important part of a functional country, and I think you guys are very brave to be talking about some disturbing topics that are normally swept under the rug. Bravo.

When do we overthrow the Aussie government? The only people who benefit from it are tradies, the superrich and the government themselves. I mean come on the average houses owned per seat of parliament is 7, while everyone under the age of 40 is fighting like rats to pay $400/w for a single room. Like we are actively being abused by the government, why are we letting this happen?

Same in Germany. Our country is occupied too. Rammstein base the same story , but with nuclear weapons. I've worked with a lot of military personnel, their rules sounds pretty harsh on paper but there's a lot of legal protection that they have to stand buy, "shoot to kill" is never, EVER, EVER enforced, they can by their words detain you for "looking shady" but generally that's the last resort now, they will casually walk up to you with big ass guns and rules laws and "kindly as you not to", their power at least in the west is to convince you not to bother them. Usually they just call the police, they definitely have the fire power to blow you up to a fine mist, but just calling the cops on hooligans works just fine, anything that can be seen through a satellite is secured on the ground, you're not going to casually walk up to a zone where they need to shoot you. "yolo it" from their laywer was him saying "dude if you can get some sensitive information and get killed over it, then we got a case against the national defense, I'm pretty sure you're not getting to anything that anybody that can google can find out." The whole case about the last protester was a time before Google.

32:30 You mention ... and we can hear ... that the guard at the gate has an Aussie accent, and that's probably why he was was so chill and relatively nice, hut, had that guard been an American, he probably would have been screaming at you at the top of his lungs, as happened to me many years ago as I accidentally made a wrong turn on Pacific Coast Highway north of San Diego, California and ended up at the front gate to Camp Pendleton where my girlfriend and I were greeted (if you can call it a "greeting") by a marine MP who literally screamed at the top of his lungs that we were trying to illegally enter the base (which, emwe weren't, we were just lost) and I apologized (which he ignored, as, apparently, that was his job) and he proceeded to tell me to turn my car around or we'd risk being shot. The weird thing is, the guard's behavior was SO over the top, that all my girlfriend and I could do the entire time was laugh our way through the process as we turned the car around and went on our very, merry way.
