The cop cannot arrest,detain or do much if the guy won't allow charges to be informed
@lakelanddentalarts3 ай бұрын
Cops can arrest based on observed physical evidence, even if the observed evidence directly contradicts statements from a victim in a domestic-violence situation. It then becomes up to a DA to determine if the physical evidence will warrant the state pressing charges with the victim not allowed a say in the matter, making it a matter that's purely between the state and the accused. It depends a lot on the state you live in. In my state, if the situation is violent enough the state will proxy-stand for the victim and be the accuser.

Regarding women versus men in the system, women are less likely to be arrested, less likely to be charged, more likely to have their charges dismissed, more likely to get lenient verdicts, etc. Men are very hurt when the woman they love and care for is angry towards them. Were constantly trying to fix things and make her happy.
@matthewridgeway92503 ай бұрын
According to law, the man does NOT have to identify. Failing to identify is a secondary charge TO AN ARREST FOR AN ACTUAL CRIME. If they arrest him for failing to ID, they have violated his constitutional rights. This policeman is LYING to this man about being charged for failing to ID. This fellow is being DOUBLE abused by cops AND the woman. I hope this policeman is pulled up on his lies. I live in Australia, and if I know this stuff, why do police fail to recognize a secondary offence can not apply to this main. You can ONLY be charged cor FAILING TO ID, only when they are ARRESTING YOU FOR ANOTHER CRIME!
@deaschowieda3 ай бұрын
I am not sure if I'd agree. The officers address a man in the street with visibly fresh wounds and torn clothes. That is a clear indicator of a physical altercation that might still be ongoing. Maybe it's not the first time they have to go to that place, as often is the case with domestic violence.

Correction. Most States are not stop- and- identify. Supposed failure to identify is a secondary offense _after_ lawful arrest, and does NOT apply simply because a cop "got a call." The minimum standard of reasonable, articulable suspicion has not been met; the cop/s have to conduct their INVESTIGATION. YOU, as Citizen, have no duty to aid the police in their investigation. Second, one may or may not have evidence of being battered. You are not to be arrested on "obstruction" charges for non-compliance with the cop's wishes. Go find the assailant/perpetrator on your own, officer. As made clear, the alleged victim is not being charged with a crime, nor suspected of committing a crime. Kill the idiotic focus on obtaining that crack cocaine of all cops, "give me your I.D.!"

There’s certainly an element of emasculation & shame but that’s certainly not all. Does not simping itself prove this? Are these not corrupted forms of their ideal behaviors. Women on the other hand, are generally more inclined to do as they please, which often leads to chaos. Are men generally more aligned to the traditional scriptural ideal than women?
