As a demiromantic ace person, that second to last post hit me in the gut hard. I do want a partner, I do want someone to love me. But sometimes I feel like that's nearly impossible, since I hear so many people talk about "adult fun time" and how they're "sleeping with someone". I just need someone in my life who will comfort me, who I can comfort. Who can cuddle me, and who I can cuddle. Someone to go on adventures with and share life's little moments. And I truly hope that is possible. And for all my fellow aces, aroaces, aro/ace spec people out there: I hope that you find that someone, or if you don't need or want that someone, that you enjoy life's greatest moments with garlic bread and cake

(A fellow demiromantic ace person here! ☺️) And by accident, I actually found someone, so I know that you’ll find someone eventually as well 💕 (and some advice: don’t actively look for someone. Just go out and make friends and meet people naturally, and you’ll eventually find that someone ☺️✨) I wish you luck and hope you enjoy living your life ☺️💕 (and don’t worry, it is possible. I promise 💕)

@@wolff_claw48 Great advice! I'm Demi and I met my Demi husband at a book store. We actually have our own rooms. We still do everything together cook, eat, work out, go to movies or art exhibits, take painting and pottery classes. We just really like the personal space plus we love to have sleepovers and play video games maybe cuddle while watching anime or build blanket forts. My family thinks we're weird and calls us married roommates but we like having our own space and dont want kids. All that matters is we're happy just the way we are. @@seantaggart7382 those labels are all on a spectrum. Have you ever been sexually attracted to anyone you have met? If it happens very rarely you are probably gray-ace. If it only happens once you become good friends you are probably demisexual. Both are still on the asexual spectrum. You can also still want adult-fun-time and crave it and give into it, but just don't feel the need for others to be included. A lot of aces have adult-fun-time with themselves or with a partner, but they are still ace because they don't look at people and feel the desire to do it with them. And many have fantasies but put themselves on a outside perspective and/or exclude themselves from the deed. Many have fantasies about it with fictional characters, but that can still be ace. The only question is actually the first one: have you ever felt a sexual attraction to someone? If the answer is 'no', 'rarely' or 'only under specific moments / with specific people' than that qualifies as ace. The same applies with the romantic spectrum. You can have a desire for it, but just don't see people and feel that specific connection. And if you don't feel comfortable with any of those labels, than you don't have to use them. They are only there to help you feel better about your identity and yourself. As a way to understand feelings and thoughts that didn't have words before. Just feel free to feel what you feel and you will find answers and like-minded people out there. Good luck and nobody will every keep you from identifing as ace or aro as long as it feels right for you 😇

My cousins and I grew up just an hour from beach (Not privileged, just in lake country where everywhere is an hour from one lake or another... you dont want to live there unless you like very large mosquitos). We'd bring full sized shovels and just dig. Water? Who cares, there's a hole to dig. Food? Bring it to the hole, we're busy digging. Our parents usually had to rescue us so we could fill the hole back in before we left... we did not like this part.
@tbnrrenagade9507
@tbnrrenagade9507 2 жыл бұрын
it would appear that's a common scenario. I went to the beach when I was 8 (never again, hate sand) and just started digging a hole. ten minutes later half the kids on that section of the beach were digging (about 14 of us) and we got it deep enough that everyone except me couldn't get out without help. came back a week later (cause little brother) and, not only was it still there, but it was practically a miniature sarlacc pit. and was actually starting to get deep enough to be dangerous. next time we went (Did not touch the sand) it was filled in though.

For all the people who are questioning about their orientation, and think they may be aromatic: Platonic attraction can be as strong as romantic attraction. You can be aromatic and want to cuddle with someone, and be around all time. Also, finding who you are is really long process, you don't need to hurry. Take your time, and good luck! As a aromantic person myself this video actually means a lot to me and probably many more. You rarely see any aromatic representation in media and I find aromantic often being excluded. Yes. So little representation. I hardly ever watch movies because it seems like you can never have one without some pointless romantic subplot taking time away from the main subject, and it just bores me to death. And you're right, too, about the devaluation. Romantic love is valued above love for one's family, friends, and fellow humans in general. Like, why can't my life be about my friends, work, hobbies, interests, and values instead of having to revolve completely around one other person?

Readers who don't want romance should find plenty to like, even in the most romantic scenes I have planned. Readers who do want romance are out of luck." 16:45 in case anyone relates to this, you might be looking for a queerplatonic relationship. It's somewhere in between a romantic relationship and a platonic one, taking elements of you and your partner(s) choice from both and putting them together as you wish. It can be as close to what society perceives is a plationic relationship or a romantic one as you want. Hope this helps some people out! (Ok so turns out my definition of queerplatonic was off. Sorry for that. Still, it's a good option next to traditional/inherent sexual or romantic relationships)

This creates a hazard for sea turtles and the sea turtle hatchlings to get stuck in or just blocks them from getting to the edge of the dunes or the ocean. I didn't grow up with touchy friends or a very physically affectionate family so romantic relationships have always felt like the only avenue for ever getting to cuddle, but with a fellow aroace, we could just agree that's something we want, and work on getting comfortable with it together. Good luck darling! ❤️ Edit part.... Fyi I was 16 when my father kicked me out for being gay. I'm an old man now. Took me awhile to get my life in order. But I did. And I truly wish you the best. And if I could help you , I would! You having a heads up of what might happen. And getting prepared , is a good thing . As soon as you can , find a part time job. And save , save and save. Me and my husband have two empty bedrooms. But we live in Spain , and we also live way out in the country . So not really a place for a young person , you know to live and have fun and meet other young people. Also my father has come around , after all these years. And he apologized for treating me so badly. And I have forgiven him. So things change over the years( hopefully) just don't take it personally . It has nothing to do with you and your sexuality . But their fear of the unknown. Sadly I did have to get cancer for my father to come around. But it happened. And I'm safe and well. Just know this is not your fault. And always be prepared.

This person and I have a chaste relationship that includes a lot of personal, emotional intimacy, cuddles, and intellectual exchange, and it also leaves us both free to pursue our own interests and lives separate from each other. I can get the needs I have that she can't meet elsewhere, and she can do the same, and we still share something very special that nothing else can ever really disturb.

They know I'm on the aro-spec and they are willing to learn more and are definitely more supportive than the other girl in the comic.

There's so much that we'd all be happier and healthier for if they were just normalised, whether that's having same-sex relationship or having close friendships and showing platonic affection without there being a romantic element at all, not being in relationships if you're not ready or just not interested at all, just wanting companionship and emotional closeness, or just wanting space and emotional distance, all these are fine and all these should be considered fine.

Honestly, to the person who talked about wanting a relationship: you'll find your person. There'll be another really cool aromantic out there looking for the same thing as you. I'm an alloromantic gray-demisexual so I do feel like romantic love is something I need in a romantic relationship, but it's really fucking hard to find someone who's okay with not having sex. Who's okay with me saying: I don't feel sexual attraction. But it doesn't mean I don't love you, it doesn't mean I don't enjoy kissing you, it just means that I'd rather have a meaningful conversation or watch a film together. I had this conversation with my boyfriend last night, and it was okay. We watched Star Wars. Everyone is different. Everyone is looking for different things in a relationship. And there will be people looking for the same thing you are. They're out there. They do exist. You'll find them.

I heard of a concept called 'Platonic Soulmates' that is perfect. It's when you are in perfect sync with someone and know exactly what they need and you can cuddle and help eachother- But it's not romantic at all. You love eachother, yes, but platonically.
