His speech for his son about there is no favourite Beatle, it is the balance...is genius. Only true fans can get it. Thank you , Ethan. Thank you very much indeed because I see so many fans that insist in separating them even when they were together. Ethan did the opposite. He put them together even after they split. It is pure...Love.

@@joewhitehead3 That's a flawed premise, to say the least. I've been a "true" Beatles fan since the age of seven (about 45 years now) and know their catalog (both group and solo) backward and forward. Paul is EASILY my favorite Beatle. I'd take his solo career over the other three combined.

Fun fact: Ethan Hawk actually gave that Black Album to his daughter on her 13th birthday in 2011. Ethan mentioned it and it was incorporated into the movie.

It's funny because the album represents the story of boyhood. The songs are the best "post-break-up" just like where the story started. Each song represents specific moments of the movie.

I just read somewhere that Ethan Hawke did that for real with the Black Album with his real son when him and his wife broke up. That makes all this so much more real if that's possible.

That is the best way of describing the greatness of The Beatles - "it's all in the balance". In every single album (especially The white album), you can feel the "elevation". A true fan can get it.
@madgang201

You can actually hear them breaking up in that album. Most of it is just their stuff they did outside of the group. It’s like you can feel them starting to get their own interests and work and it makes you sad because you know they’re not gonna last very long after that.

Man that “no favorite Beatle” thing is so true. I enjoy the solo music as much as the next person and I may like one former Beatle’s solo music more than the others (John for me personally), but even the best solo music doesn’t touch Revolver, Sgt Pepper, Abbey Road, etc cuz even the best John Lennon or Paul McCartney song isn’t of the same quality as when they were writing together
@brianmessitte8462
@brianmessitte8462 3 жыл бұрын
That’s exactly true. All of them were great solo artists, but it was never like the type of success that they had as a group. All of them, especially John and Paul made musical heaven and innovation with their songwriting partnership and was something that was never matched and will still remain like that to this day.
@goldwaterproductions
@goldwaterproductions 3 жыл бұрын
@@brianmessitte8462 exactly! And not a lot of people can name the Beatles solo albums. Everyone knows Sgt Pepper and Abbey Road, but unless you’re really into the Beatles or your into music, no one can think of the names for some of the solo albums no matter how much of classics they are
