It sounded lovely and any good player worth his salt will tell u its not rock and roll until u make the guitar face while playing, music is one of those few times where your mind and body and soul are all totally in sync music is truly proof god loves us !

Humor can be used without being insensitive to something you’ll never understand. It’s not people getting butt hurt for no reason, it’s people who have a more significant tie to something than you do. Why would you tell anyone not to get upset over a joke belittling the horrors of mass torture and genocide? That’s unrealistic to ask of someone and insensitive. And there’s nothing wrong with asking someone for empathy.

Through your videos I am able to vicariously live the life I had carefully planned for many years. I learned to sail way back in the 80's, took several charter vacations in BVI and saved, saved and saved my money. I took course after course on offshore sailing through my local US Power Squadron, got my General Ham license and bought a brand new Hunter. After years, I was nearing retirement and was ready for my sailing dream. Then I had two heart attacks. My dream died in an instant. My health took a nose dive and now I can barely walk around the house. Sadly I sold my boat and moved to New Mexico. On a bright note, watching your videos is the next best thing to being there! Thanks!

@Too Wun I'm not sure it's a cop out. When you're stuck on a boat with no where to go, you have a lot of free time, time which can be put into practicing, especially if you have others to practice with, to reinforce your practice regime and mindset.
@GaryMCurran
@GaryMCurran 4 жыл бұрын
@Too Wun I won't disagree. WIth Keith and Renee there, all the time, they are much more involved in the lives of the kids. That is something that most parents who live ashore can't, or at least don't, have the luxury of. I mean, some do. When I grew up, you didn't have to have two parents working just to make ends meet. That's not the case today. So, parenting IS a consideration here as well. As to 'location', I think it's more a case of 'situation.'

Just finished all the videos, it's been great so far. Had to leave a comment after that awesome Hotline you set up, another reason you're all top notch. Keith, great personality, great handy man skills, great job on selling "mostly" everything to do this for the family and you seem like a great Dad and really fun, cool man. Renee, what a great mom you seem to be, of course we only see what you guys let us see, but the amount of school work, how you enforce it, the different real life hands on experiences for the kids. Also you do a great job working the camera relentlessly, always thinking like a Director, especially in the editing chair, so lots of respect to you all around and Happy Mothers Day, who knows when you'll read this. I think your kids are all great, Anna was of course put in the toughest spot because of age, but she is great, the show was awesome when she was on it and I think its funny how her and Finn are kinda alike and Jack and Kate or kinda similar when it comes to personalities. Jack is cool, and it's awesome to see how much he loves this life you've both given him as his parents, he's going to grow up most likely never wanting to leave the ocean, and that's cool although dude, bring back the bandana when your hair gets long again, Thats what Captain Jack Sparrow would do, so don't ever be worried what someone else might think of it. Finn, little dude, leave the hair long its cool. Finn is gonna be a rockstar soon with his playing that's great stuff. Kate is such great energy and seems to love exploring and swimming, seems like she will grow up to be like Jack. You guys should be more popular than the Kardashian Family garbage that is on TV. Now . To this kids, Give your Mom and Dad an extra hug today and tell them how thankful for the life you have even if you don't know it yet. P.S. Good luck making it Tonga. If you wanna give a shout out to Puggz, that's cool, that's me. If not, that's cool too. Peace.

The only thing i would add here is NEVER NEVER drain the oil from the old filter into the new(3.30)- you are only transferring contamination from old filter to new. ALWAYS prefill filter with new oil. same with fuel filters. that 200ml of old oil could be the end of a motor. Love the show, love the boat.
@v12tommy
@v12tommy 4 жыл бұрын
@@maccashaz I'd agree with you, but that is the fuel filter that they did that with. No harm there. Oil filter was mounted on the side, so I assume all the oil drained out as soon as they unscrewed that one. Never understood why manufacturers do that one. My car has a cartridge style filter on top, and those are awesome cause you can check the element, and no oil gets spilled either. Well, that was my old car. My newest one is a Tesla, no oil to change at all.

Classic episode. I think your neighbour must have a bad case of cabin fear - poor chap! I think it is great that you all play music together on the boat and most people would enjoy listening to it. I think you handled the situation really well by not sweating the small stuff, clearly if someone has a problem like that there is no point in turning it into a fight. Looking forward to the next gig boys!

I currently operate an electric limousine company.

Cuz Go = 5... you either say "1-2-3-go", or just "1-2-3-4" - and then start... and If that were me on the other boat - I would've grabbed some bongos or a cajon or something, and come over and jammed with you guys!!... Question for the Q&A: Keith's hotline is brilliant!!! I only heard my mother swear once in my lifetime. We were playing guitar next to the pool and a neighbour screamed over the wall telling my mother to shut her kids up. She swore at him for 10 minutes. I remember my sister and I applauding. Best moment of my youth. Did the kids applaud the disgruntled screamer on the other boat yet? 😂😂

Great episode again! FYI Northern Lights only recommends their 'Lugger' oil filters as other brands can sometimes not give full flow when the generator starts and immediately revs to 1800 rpm. I learned this at a service training course at the factory in Seattle a couple of years ago.

Hi from Paris (France). I'll be sailing all around Europe next year (Paris/Belgium/Neederland/Germany/Tchechoslovakia/Hungaria/Bulgaria/Istambul, back by the mediterranean sea Greece/Croatia/Italy and back to France). We have a lot of channels in Europe, so the travel should be made with a "Linssen yacht", smaller but as comfortable as your Zatara boat. A Linssen yacht can sail on channels as well as sea (near 9 miles by the land). Thanks to all your advices, I've learned a lot from your experiences and some points I discovered about practical points. The first thing I'll do, beginning of 2021, will be to change the diesel engine by two electrical engines (Torkeedo), BMW batteries and solar panels. I hadn't been thinking about the water problem, so I'll have to think about it before to leave. Thanks again for your experiences, and send my best thoughts to all the family. Francois.

@@Thomas_Speck What if you and your family were visiting another country on vacation. Unfortunately, you and your family had to sit in your boat for weeks, maybe even months, due to a pandemic. You could be on a luxury cruise, or your favorite spa, but if you were trapped there, you would grow to hate it too. Sometimes you have to do something to kill the monotony. I keep hearing things like they are so very selfish or typical American. Well better that than a world of silence.

@Vincent Augustin that was the fuel filter, not the oil filter. but I guess you know everything too! :-)
@x101436
@x101436 4 жыл бұрын
@Vincent Augustin clearly Kieth gave that 1-800 # in his PSA specifically for you to call and report him immediately, cause I mean it's clearly obvious you know absolutely anything & everything in the world and know exactly what everyone in the entire world is doing & thinking at any & all times. And it's completely clear you would never jump to any conclusions or anything like that, or you would have clearly come to the conclusion and noticed the camera clearly focusing in on the Filter that clearly stated "FUEL FILTER". and you would have then realized that he was actually pouring the fuel from the old FUEL FILTER into the new FUEL FILTER (Not an OIL FILTER nor any OLD OIL). Now i can't speak for him personally, but i'd most likely assume it was to help prime the fuel system and help upon restarting the engine, and also at the same time to try and waste as little fuel as possible. And as since you clearly know everything, you know just how bad it is for diesel engines to be started with air in the fuel system, so it's always best to try and get as much air out of the system as possible before restarting, and since you still know everything you should know its much more environmentally friendly to not just haplessly waste diesel fuel when not necessary, of course if it can be helped.
