I'm loving your reactions and can't wait for more! For season 2, I HIGHLY recommend the English dub. The adaptive screen writer for that season is the VA for Hua Cheng, and he has read all of the books. The entire English cast loves the show and books, and it really shoes in their season 2 performance. Also, as much as it's censored by China, the English cast makes things as explicit as humanly possible lol They are all on board this romance and story!!

this is the first time in CENTURIES that xie lian has seen himself depicted as a beautiful god, worthy of praise...no kneeling statues, nothing obscene, just the person he thinks he used to be but the person hua cheng has always seen him as, regardless of time 🥺

One of my favourite episodes! Loving the reaction! I just wanna let you know though, in Mandarin, San Lang doesn’t call Xie Lian by his name, he calls him “Gege” which is basically “oniisan”.

Xie Lian is meant to be a simple priest who serves a god - the Crown Prince of Xianle - while he's in the human realm. Gods aren't supposed to openly walk around announcing their godliness and building temples to themselves. Back when he first ascended, he was called the "Flower Crowned Martial God" and depicted with a sword and flower, just as "San Lang" paints in the picture.

В общем, на фоне их предысторий это была очень комфортная ночь. Daoism is a way of cultivate, good reation with Mo dao zu shi, but each daoist follow some rules or methods. In episode 1, it is show how Xie Lian defeat a ghost of a bridge and then plant a flower, ascending to heaven. People start to make pictures and statues of him with an sword and a flower in each hand, something weird being an martial god but because of the goodlooking of Xie Lian it was perfect. It is bad looking for gods to worship themself but Mu Qing, General Xuan Zhen, get mad when someone make an awful representation, he destroy the statue and visit the dream of the artist to "inspire" them

also i think you should really re-watch the episode but from the manhua CHAPTER 25... because it's not regulated by Chinese censorship...there's a lot of interactions between Hualian! 🤭😏
