I have so much respect for Boz as a musician and man he is. I was so fortunate to be on his 1977 Silk Degrees Tour with the future members of the band TOTO..Jeff...Mike .Steve Porcaro..and Steve Lukather...and the legendary John Madrid on Trumpet...and later on the Middleman album ..got to play the solos on his Platinum hit single: JOJO..Love you Boz.. those were some incredible years on the band 1977- 1985 ..with a big finish..after touring Australia..New Zealand..to go back to Japan for the Big Show of the World 1985..The Japan Worlds Fair..Thank you Boz!

Great tribute from you to such a humble musician. That music is time stamped in my mind with some of the most precious memories of my life. I sometimes wonder if people like you realize that you were part of something that can still affect a person, bring them back to a location, relationship, or interaction, and flood them with emotion after 40+ years. Music is powerful!

It was 1976 when I got introduced to his kind of music and got hooked since then, what a great singer and musician he is...it's a good thing he's still moving forward in his career. Too sad though, to learn he lost his eldest son Oscar to heroin in 1991 New Year's Eve at a seedy hotel in San Francisco, good thing it didn't ruin his career, but truly devasted him and the mother of his kids, Carmella. To me he's one of the truest musician that has inspired me in my musical life. With my band in the late '70's we played a lot of the Steve Miller Band songs, but I never even knew he was with that band then, his album Silk Gegrees was the one that influenced me a lot of his music...thanks Boz, pls. continue your music making...we truly enjoy your music and specially your distinct voice...
@adc23275 жыл бұрын
You seem to know a lot about Boz. I too remember when he lost his son. I was teenager when I first heard Boz. I was 15 years old and saw him at Fillmore West. This was way before Silk Degrees. I had seen him on local television so I knew how good he was. My friends had never heard of him. He did not disappoint. Living in the Bay Area I saw him live many times. He's old now and so am I. I am still a fan.
