Now, every year its now one during Christmas not because its a big hit but because of the Christmas season

@@raramaeja884 It's not really a "free" competition. The music industry especially in America, which as a country is the driver of pop culture the "zeitgeist", that industry is heavily manipulated just like the movie industry.. those at the top who have control of the money and are manipulating these industries have certain objectives. And there is nothing like the music that the people listen to and the movies that they watch to mold hearts and minds according to how and where they want to channel the people into: a certain mindset even a set of ideologies without the people noticing that they are being molded. In the 80's rap or hip hop was the thing that they wanted to dominate as such suited their objectives.. Most people tend to follow the trend anyway and especially so the young people and those who aren't possessed of a strong mind.

It was the summer of 1977. I had just purchased a brand new Fisher sound system: receiver, turntable, and four large floor speakers. One of the first album's I bought was Boz Scaggs "Silk Degrees". Of course, I was familiar with some of the cuts having been played on the radio, so it was one of the things I will always remember at the age of 21. My dad had passed away a few days earlier, so the day after his funeral I went to the electronics store to pick up my purchase which had arrived from ordering several weeks before. I felt it would take my mind off of the deep hurt and sorrow. Somehow, and it's hard to explain, this album gave me comfort from the hurt and loss I was experiencing. The music, lyrics, and Boz's incredible way of conveying his emotions in song was something I will never forget. So thank you Mr. Scaggs, for helping a young guy deal with his pain.

This song really showcases Boz' vocal abilities. And great background singers, including the superb James Ingram. How smooth is that?

A wonderful Boz Scaggs track. Captures the late 80’ music scene and brings back a lot of great memories.

This is just an absolute tear jerker. If you've ever loved and lost and don't get a lump in your throat, then I don't think you ever really loved 💔
