Totally agree with the point about you changing but no one else does. I could never understand that. After first being diagnosed I looked up help groups and there was 1 group for bpd and about 10 for family and friends of bpd?! Googling bpd brain abnormalities mri scans did make me understand that bpd is literally brain damage and to make me somewhat better would start with trying to find ways to nourish the brain where there was damage. Also, if all children were taught relaxation techniques in school this would dramatically reduce the severity of bpd later on in life. In the uk the nhs guidelines definitely need to change because they bare no resemblance to the actual 'care' offered. I studied the amygdala, which in bpd folk has either not developed or has atrophied in teens. For me, that was a great eye opener. Many other brain abnormalities but obviously hard to grasp. Children who are traumatised are not usually going to come forward and report it so as a society we need to come up with better solutions so when they are older they don't have to go through hell. Take care.x

New subscribe here. Stumbled down the KZbin rabbit hole searching BPD and found your channel. Wanted to say thanks for the content and speaking from the perspective of a person struggling with BPD, as opposed to another video from a medical professional. I was recently diagnosed w/ BPD and definitely felt that lightbulb moment of "Yes! That's it!". Found it out after being sober for 15 months. Not sure what's next for me, but seeing your content and feeling like maybe there's a community of my peers out there gives me hope.

@@GLOsLife ah yes we are the best at mirroring aren’t we. I only figured it out because my son has it and he does lots of the same things as I did.
