A brilliant compilation of an era gone by. I did a similar thing around about the same time at Salisbury. I hired a full size VHS camera from a shop in Nottingham and drove there and back in the same day. So glad l did it too. 😃😊👍

I went to the University of Exeter from 1989 to 1992 and spent many hours spotting at Exeter St Davids and Central. More wonderful memories watching this video.

I was a civil engineering structure examiner at this time and my office was at the back of platform 2 at Central. I've ridden many classes of loco but the 50s were always my favourite ever if one of them did fail and leave me stranded on Somerton viaduct with a viaduct inspection unit attached! But that's a different story too long for here - great footage by the way.
