Continuing with my archive of video recording between the years of 1986 to 2001 this clip is of Exeter St Davids taken on 04/05/1991. The class 50s were now in their final period of working the WOE line so I thought it was appropriate to call in here again before the 47/7s took over. I hope the video takes you back to this period with fond memories. Feel free to comment, good or bad, all comments are read and greatly appreciated, but it is not always possible to answer each individually. Sit back and enjoy this latest production remembering all those now long gone Locomotive classes and other types of traction. Great video. Takes me back. The driver at 10.15 doing his paperwork checking his watch then giving both Valentas the beans and still kept doing his paperwork as she rolled of was as Cool A F.

Great video, many good memories. Man, I’d forgotten how damn smoky the locos were…. that 50 that stayed at the platform a while was delivering the atmosphere a healthy dose of hydrocarbons!

So many of my summer holidays were spent sat at St Davids from mid 80’s watching the class 50’s and HST’s with a cornish pasty in hand (from Ivor Dewdneys up on the high street)… oh those were the days….

Great video. The scratch IC Mk2 set at 14:45 appears to get announced as the ‘0915 Truro to Paddington’ which I’m guessing must have been a Control Special for the bank holiday weekend?

Finished school summer 1991,went down to Basingstoke, with my old man chasing hoovers,6/7/91,50030/031/033/046/D400,2 x cops hood,ajax,august 50002/017/030/033,royal oak ,cop.Then5/9/91,London bash,did 50033, london Waterloo-Basingstoke, following month did D400 ,Waterloo-Basingstoke, anyone got a time machine please??😂
