Most definitely Stalybridge, not York! A slight correction, the 08 is headed towards Rowntrees, not away. It has about 1.5 miles to run on the Scarborough line to Burton Stone Junction, where it will reverse onto the branch serving the factory. I'm surprised to see this train routed via the platform line, I would have expected it to take the down goods relief line through the station. Possible crew change about to take place?

Great vid and memories! 47365 there prior to naming, only just been painted into her Rf grey the previous month during overhaul! I just caught the 'peaks' at York in '87, up from 3rd rail-land, only time i see them outside London. And a loco type a future loco-driving girlfriend never got to drive hehe! Had to sub to this chan, cheers.

Really glad you're enjoying the channel DJ. Funny isn't it? As a kid, I took the Peaks for granted! The idea of a great weekend trip was to travel down to Waterloo to ride behind 50s and 33s (and the occasiona 73) between London and Basingstoke.
