I speak a little bit of Dutch and had no idea that 'broodje' was with a hard K-ish in Afrikaans sound instead of the softer CH-ish sound.

@@EkimGram Indeed it is! Afrikaans has almost completely the softer CH sounds of Dutch. Afrikaans sounds much "harder" than its Dutch origins in many ways.

I went to South Africa in 2017 and it was one of the greatest experiences of my life! I was treated to a full on SA home cooked meal, even though this was not included. Thank you for doing this episode.

Boerewors is also amazing on a buttered roll, though not technically a sandwich. Nothing like hanging out at a braai, drinking a few cold ones, and snacking away.

As a South African I'm so happy to see one of our sandwiches on here. Only notes are: you should have gotten hold of roosterbrood which would have been a level up in authenticity. Also braai is spelt like this.

I'm on to you. When you say "quite good," I know the score is 8.0 or above. When you plus up with seasoning of any kind, it is automatic +1.0 to the score.

Well deserved if you asked me. These videos are straight to the point, informative and without any fluff added. Which is a rare thing to see these days. And of course, sandwiches are delicious :D

I'd try this. I've got vegetarians in my family so it would be a welcome addition to a bbq
