This absolute beast is the Brabus G800… And Mat’s got his hands on one for an all-new in-depth review!
The Brabus G800 is a maxed out version of the Mercedes-AMG G65. And if you thought a new AMG G-Wagon was expensive when new, well trust us, it’s got nothing on the G800's price tag. When new, one of these would have set you back £600,000!!
So of course, with a price like that, you know the quality of the G800 is going to be out of this world. There are a whole host of upgrades compared to the standard G65, with massive air intakes and 23” alloys on the outside, to a load of soft leather and carbon fibre found throughout the cabin.
The upgrades don’t just stop there though. Under the bonnet you’ll find a monumental 6-litre twin-turbo V12 which can pump out 800hp & 1,100Nm of torque!!
It’s one of the most imposing cars on the road… But can it really justify the £600,000 price tag? You’ll have to stick with Mat to find out!

The old G was great as a status symbol, not great as a car. Rough ride, cramped interior, and for the current depreciated price of this, (~$400k), I could buy a EQG, AND blah blah blah. The V12 means a lot more as a kid (all the 65 cars feel more special in my head in spades), but modern tech, better driving dynamics, better ride, equally nice interior, more space, and over the air updates for minimum $100k less is too nice a deal to pass up

Really? Even a small property costs very much in Europe. And then there's still the house you *have to pay. No one I know had to pay less than 800k€ ($945k). My parents just bought a new house for 3.3M€ ($3.54M) and it looks average. Not very luxurious at all.

that buzzing is the oil pump starter thingy. i do know some mercedes' have them. basically the oil pump pumps the oil and gets it circulated before you start it reducing wear on the engine and preventing you from having to wait as long for the car to be ready to drive. the feature is used because of how big the engine is or how far the oil has to travel before it gets to the filter, with this twin turbo v12 that oil system is definitely needed

Though there is something that worries me though because the exhaust comes out in the sun it looks beautiful but that makes me think if this car gets rear ended I think if the wheel gets pushed away it will just push it gets pushed against the exhaust which will bend the whole entire exhaust

Seen this car In person in Dubai , seeing as it's left hand drive, guessing it was imported. Some rich guy from Oman had it and was busy selling it to a dealer on Sheikh Zayed - Deals on Wheels - had a Omani number plate with the number one it, but can't remember if it had royalty plate or the regular yellow one. Interesting to see it has made its way to the UK. (But then again, could be a different VIN all together)

The noise when you shut the door is the air pump for the suspension. Brabus knows that their customers are as fat as they have money to spend, so the pump primes for a 2x 180 kilo fatload to enter the passenger room.

Matt. I believe that you should at least become accustomed to the automotive components like recirculating ball steering boxes (these are used on HGV’s). This would give people a idea as to why these vehicles handled like a truck. I believe that Mercedes Benz have definitely lost the plot. Hopefully Land Rover will be more sensible and keep the vehicle that which it was designed for.
