Hello everyone! For all those wondering, I had a kidney transplant a while back, and despite being a devastatingly gorgeous man, I am definitely cracking on in years! I hope it doesn’t distract you from Greeno’s excellent video. I can confirm that the food was all top notch, and I agree wholeheartedly with Greeno’s Green Light™️!

I also had a kidney transplant in 2006, which I got from my sister has a live donor. Unfortunately, it stopped working 4 years ago. I am now on haemodialysis 3 times a week and am hoping that I will be getting put on the transplant waiting list soon. Hope everything goes well for you 🙏

​@@GreenoEats If you ever visit Cheshire we have a good mix of eateries, Hartford Hall Hotel/ Pub has history dating way back to the 16th Century...and a stop over in their ( allegedly...haunted room, not advertised or sold as ) would be a great combo treat and something very different too 👻

Considering this is a UK channel , Greeno should be able to name the food item and particularly as in this country we don't tend to say the name of the product as an offensive term, that's more of an American phrase. I love fa66ots , home made lovely but also enjoy the Brains ones, got a couple of packs in the freezer as it goes, probably gonna have them this weekend, nom nom. Cheers.

Great decision - I made red cabbage on Christmas day, cooked long and slow with some onion and apple and those festive spices - touch of red wine vinegar too - delicious!

Lovely to see Tim again and what a fabulous pub. You could tell the food was top notch just by looking at it. It's not easy to do a good fondant potato and lamb was spot on. I had lamb for boxing day, it really is a lovely meat. Good comfort food!

This is a great video, Greeno. Your reviews are very relaxed and chilled out and you just have a way of describing things and portraying your thoughts. This is my kind of pub... out in the middle of nowhere and space to breath and enjoy some proper food. The city can be good, at times, but these little hamlets are fantastic. The food looks absolutely fantastic and delicious. Great quality dishes and proper beer. 👌

WHY do we have to comply with not using the real name, for fear of being offensive. It's a traditional English dish and part of our heritage. Just because someone took that word and applied it to something else ought not to render it void! It's something very unique to the British Isles and a dish I really love and miss! Meatballs just don't compare to F****ts! That lamb looked like you were cutting into butter! Wow! So tender. And at last, a REAL fondant potato! Someone got that right, for sure! The whole meal looked amazing and well worth what you paid - I'd go as far as to say, value for money! Can't beat a good Dorset pub like that! The issue is with KZbin’s AI as opposed to the real world. Because the word has two different uses, the AI can’t tell the difference. It was fun trying to trip Greeno up though 😂

I am definitely liking your friend Tim,especially in the comments section, and I hope we will see more of him in future reviews. Lovely looking dinner, I have never had a rump of lamb, though I think it’s called sirloin here, but after New Year I am going to go to the butcher and order one for myself. I must say one potato seemed a bit underwhelming, and I didn’t even see the red cabbage till you pointed it out, I said to myself Greeno will have dessert today. I am sure you had enough with the three courses though. Interesting take on a Chinese dumpling, did they use an egg roll wrapper? It looked more like a Middle Eastern wrapper that I can’t remember the name of, but comes in pks and is brittle till you egg wash it then it becomes pliable,you wrap whatever then deep fry, it tends not to go brown when you fry it.😊

Tim's a good lad - I am sure he will pop up on the channel time to time! The three courses were certainly sufficient, and very tasty all round. The wrapping for the prawn was the same as they'd use for a spring roll, so it did crisp up nicely.

Just watched this video as I have just come home from my sister's. I think perhaps a little too expensive for the starters, however, looking at the quality overall I think that was a lovely meal to have with your friend Tim. Glad you had a wonderful time together. I suggest you do more of these remote pubs with Tim up in Yorkshire 👍🙏🏼. Had a lovely time at my sister's despite the sadness of no Stuart after 44 years, but the day before I arrived they took in a cat of three years old from a couple who were travelling too much with work. She settled in and took over the house right away. A great distraction. 🙏🏼👍

Yes, it was worth the money - I know it's out of a lot of folks reach, and that is fair enough of course. But I would rather eat 1 meal like this than 3 substandard ones!

Hi Greeno, oh man that rump of lamb looked to die for. I'm not a venison fan as I find it's a bit too strong for me, and thought the starters were a bit lackluster if I'm honest, that lamb deffo the star of the show! Mmmmm! Making me hungry! Good honest review as usual.👍👏👏♥️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

I have to say all of my food was top notch. Pate is really tricky to make look pretty and appealing, but my god, it tasted delicious! Definitely homemade and I made short work of it!

@ I hadn’t had “meatballs” since I was serving them in my pub about 15 years ago. They weren’t overly powerful. Just beautifully made, with love and care in house, and they were scrumptious!

Merry Christmas Greeno! when I used to play cricket for Wareham's King's Arms, the game against 'Brace' was a regular and most enjoyable fixture, usually followed by beers and piles of sausage and chips! Brace had a star player back in my day... Mick Robertson, he of children's TV show Magpie, and I'll tell you Mick was a very decent left hand bat! Those 'meatballs' looked fabulous, in fact it all did!

​@@GreenoEatswell known up Lancashire, Yorkshire and around North of England. My mum used to make these with onions, pork, bacon, lamb liver, kidney and heart, all wrapped in caul. Maybe it was popular after the war with relatively cheaper ingredients and a filling meal.
