Every time I go in there I ask for delivery just because i love the reply. The young guy always says, "The van broken down, but if you go online, we will deliver." You should try it. Those lamb burgers was the last thing i ate three months ago before i moved abroad to Montréal Canada from Edinburgh. I did enjoy the burgers, i used some fried onions & Greek yoghurt dip on a Warburton's bun. Can't pronounce the yoghurt dip lol. Eleanor xx 🩷.

Actually you could have this one if you are near an Indian supermarket, it’s called a Chapli Kabab, but it is an Indian spiced beef pattie, they are in the frozen food section. I generally buy a jar of cilantro chutney, and mix with yogurt to spread on my buns., the patties are delicious, and spicy.😊

If you wanted something similar to tzatziki, you could have made raita, pretty much the same thing except they add a bit more garlic and spice in the Indian version. However, if I'm making an Indian dish, I'd use mint coriander yogurt chutney. Maybe a bit of that tamarind and chilli chutney they do too. A traditional version of this would be the shami kebab paav. It's more of a smashed lamb burger in a bun with the chutneys and fried onions and red chillies. You get it as street food all over India and they're soooo good.

Looks like it's just accepted it's a quid a burger now. My wage hasn't gone up with these prices and Iceland are twice as pricey as anywhere else. Not 3 years ago I could buy 12 quarter pounders for 3 quid at certain frozen outlets. They do look nice though.

Considering you can buy 4 1/b fresh lamb burgers from Waitrose at £5( £4 if you use their 3 for £12 offer) Iceland pushing their prices up and up

@daveb8370 Yeah Iceland are disguised as a family friendly cheap retailer but actually they sell overly processed gimmick foods and charge ridiculous prices because it's usually a gimmick product.

81% lamb is great news. A slice of tomato, some sliced gherkins, a bit of lettuce and some tzatzik would have made a nice burger. This was not a bad item. from Iceland. 👍👍🥰👍👍.

Evening Gareth,burgers have had a mixed history, a search for a true identity. Started with J. Wellington Wimpy. (Popeye's Mate) then they were Hamburgers, without HAM😮. Beef Burgers came next. Then, added Cheese, Streaky Bacon, and all manner of things. Smashed Burgers. And so many flavours it's a bit daunting trying to get the right one. Now a Curry flavour 🤔😱Thought they had run out of ideas. It was incredibly dry, maybe should come with a pickle tray? Or one or two sachets :Mango Pickles, garlic mayo and hot sauce, any item you could serve with a Curry. Just a thought, however your chant of lovely, lovely, lovely & that's tasty, tasty, tasty. Sold them to me. All the best for you and your family Allan&Family
@JanetBrown-px2jn6 сағат бұрын
Hamburgers were brought to America by German immigrants from the city of Hamburg in Germany, and that’s how they got there name, and are still called Hamburgers more often than not, then in the land of plenty all manor of toppings,and meats were added,and now fashion dictates they should be smashed. India has had their own burger,a Chapli Kabab, a thin, round pattie made from beef, or mutton by the Pashtun people in the Pakistani Afghanistan region of Northern India. I often buy imported Chapli from the Indian market, delicious, and quite spicy,I mix coriander chutney with yoghurt as a spread on a toasted bun,I like tomato on there too. Always nice to see your posts Allen, and I wish you, and the family a very happy New Year.🎈 🎊 🎉
