I worked at the Main Lodge back in the early 60s...Night Crew! After a big dump some of us would go down to the Village and shovel off roofs...for $5 a roof! No OSHA then. Occasionally we'd take the "ride" off the roof when the whole mass would start moving. Still here, even after flying helicopters in Vietnam!

Your wiring harness is why people fought so hard, for years, to get "right to repair" so we didn't have to be held hostage by Cat or JD, sometimes at worst time like harvest, when equipment breaks down. Best Regards Gents!

Wood glue or other non catalyzed adhesives will freeze for the beam repair. Heat the wood with a heat gun or propane torch to carefully dry it first. Then use fast cure epoxy with extra hardener to cure before it freezes. Otherwise it will turn into a mess. Best wishes from South Lake Tahoe.

10:25 I'm sorry, but in my estimation, solar panels have got to be the most useless accessory on a mountain cabin when you've got the Casa Diablo geothermal plant just down the road that has enough capacity to power about FIVE Mammoth Lakes, for not that much money -- not compared to SoCal. The potential for damage and frequent replacement to me doesn't pencil out for the amount of power that those panels can generate to sell back to the utility. Please educate me; this doesn't make sense to me at all.
@philiphorner31 Жыл бұрын
Solar panel promoters NEVER speak of the sunk cost of the existing grid. And the government is not allowing the grid to recover from the parasite solar free riders on the grid. Thermal plants burning abundant wood waste and or trash or tires can make a profit at about 30¢ KWH.

This is a CRAZY winter. I live in the Lake Arrowhead area of Southern California. I was able to drive down to the store today for the first time in 14 days. And we only have about 10-12' of snow. I was more or less trapped in my home. Me and my HUSKY, Nikita. San Bernardino County is extremely unprepared and under resorted. I did not see one snow plow in 10 days ! Mammoth and plow Bros. does a great job for the amount of snow they get. Keep up the good work 👍

You asked for prayers. You have them. Hail Marys, exactly! Seeing how you with all the modern equipment handle this has made me wonder: How did ancient people get through such challenges? They did, or we wouldn’t be here. How did the native Americans who first lived there cope with such as this? Amazing how strong, creative, persevering we humans can be. Blessings.

That Von’s used to be a Safeway and landing a job there was a major feat. Good luck! Before they opened the mountain to trial riding there was no summer tourism, so summer jobs were nearly impossible to find. There’d be 40 year old men bagging groceries during the summer just happy to have a job. I was more interested in rock climbing, so like most of the locals that stayed I collected unemployment and lived in the campground at the edge of town, or traveled around in my VW van, or spent a week or two at Camp 4 in Yosemite. Sometimes I’d go down to Santa Barbara and install hardwood floors for $10 an hour. During the winters I saved all my change from tips in a big jar and lived off it during the summer. I’m enjoying your content and wishing you the best! 👍

You can test the old harness, and find your broken wires, and repair them use as a spare, but usually there is a fatigue point that causes all the problems, you can sometimes install the harness so less fatigue is incurred by the movement of the blower arm….
@hkguitar1984 Жыл бұрын
Did you try spraying each set of connectors with a drying agent? Maybe moisture has bridged a couple control lines and is commanding the chute to move into the wrong/static position. Also, maybe the controller in the cab has a moisture issue. Maybe some electrical contact cleaner sprayed at each of the wiring loom connector blocks. You are dealing with a lot of moisture that can make its way into the connectors and dislodge or deform the pins when the moisture freezes. One more idea, have you been able to completely thaw out and dry out the unit by leaving it in a warm garage overnight. If I was local I'd fix it for you, at least I'd give it a try.

I have a Erskine blower, and found the connection pins on the connection boot up at the main electrical harness screw in housing / electrical pin connections came loose [behind the rubber protection boot /caused the chute not to function., Made connection by taking a picture of the wiring layout and finally came up with the correct wiring functions... I would say you just have a wire pin not making the hand toggle electrical connections... Good luck🤞
