Being old doesn't have to define your mental and physical state, but in no way can the word old be used for a 49 year old person, whether they are healthy or not, because the number just isn't high in my opinion. My father is in his late 50s, he does sport several times a week and is in amazing physical shape. He even got married just a few years ago :)
