A lot of what has made It's Alive great is the editing. They've got a talented production team at BA.
@RuckusRugs5 жыл бұрын
Seriously the amazing editing has been as big of a part of this show as Brad is. I know the "Goin Places" tag of It's Alive! signifies that this series is a little different then the standard "It's Alive!" so I can't complain that the editing is slightly less crazy on these versus the standard episodes, but I wish it was just as wild as those normal episodes, I think the funny subtitles and little clip-art images flying around on screen and pretend interacting with Brad was just as instrumental as Brad in making this show so great and popular. I hope they don't lose that crazy style of editing when they go back to making the regular episodes again, I seriously loved it and it combined with Brad was what made this show what it is.

@@RuckusRugs: Part of that change may be due to the source footage available. I wouldn't be surprised if the first few seasons of footage were just Brad and Vinnie farting around in the woods, with only a general idea of what they would be taping; lots of goofing off with no strict timetable or anticipated shot list. A lot depends on the editor tying it all together. With growing success comes increased budget and risk, plus things like an on-location producer, maybe an audio person, perhaps even a grip. Now there are expectations to be met and a lot more on the line; it's very difficult to keep the same loose, spontaneous feel of the early efforts that made them so successful. Now there's a formula to be followed. It's a classic pattern of production in many mediums, including bands, writers, artists, and comedy in general. "We love how free and quirky and spontaneous you are! Ok, now just keep doing it on demand! No pressure."

Still I have seen a lot more discrimination and hate against other religions, especially against Muslims since we have a lot of refugees here (in Germany) and for some reason a lot of people dislike them being in our country. The only times I see hate against Christianity is when some radical believers start dragging their innocent children into cults or find some other ways to destroy their lifes. Or when atheists start a drama about how there is no God, but they're probably referring to all religions. So please, provide some context so I can understand your point.

Besides, aren't you aware that the country had only 200k left out of 20 million after the maunder minimum and then the diseases the conquistadors and the explorers brought by the time we started really expanding west? It was during those times that some presidents (WILSON) were awful to the natives, and what they did had NOTHING to do with christianity.

I’m thankful BA does this. Hunting has left a bad taste in my mouth because it’s become so contemporarily about the “sport” of hunting. When at its root hunting has always been about sustaining the local environment. I study sustainability and it made me really happy to hearing the people BA worked with explain why they hunt boar and how it provides for not only their community but the local ecosystem as a whole. That stuff is important-not killing bc you can and want a wall mount. (Btw I speak from a background where hunting is very popular in my family. Not all huntsmen have that negative mentality I hate but I’ve seen it all too well.)

I’m sorry that you have had bad experiences with hunting, but I can’t help point out that what you say isn’t accurate. Modern hunting, more than any other era of human history, is aware of conservation. While it is true that hunting (the first activity of humankind) has always tried to strike a balance between harvest and maintenance, it has always been a sport as well. The first art was homage to the excitement of the hunt. Hunting, so primal, has always been ritualistic, almost religious. In the 19th and 20th centuries, Western Culture went crazy with hunting as a pastime, with the rise of tourism and Safari, resulting in extinctions. Consumerism is the root of awful hunting practices. Modern hunters have largely rejected those patterns of behavior and now provide almost all of the resources for conservation. Hope this helps to explain why so ,any love this ancient sport, this ancient ritual.

You can buy seeds easily. Try Amazon. I have gotten seeds from the target dollar section even. It may not be the exact same plant but it does the same thing and looks very similar. Try looking up senstive plant seeds.

Please keep doing videos like these!!!! Love the hunting and fishing videos. It's so so so good to see hunting painted as the respectful way of providing food it is and not some evil activity. Most hunters really care about the animals and are so respectful to them and the environment and people don't realize that.

These Hawaii videos are really great. Not only do they show the beauty of the islands, but also the passion to uphold, pass down, pass on and educate about the identity, language, culture & traditions of the Hawaiian people which is an increasingly homogenised world is a fantastic thing.

Bourdain was one of a kind man. Idk if anyone could replace him. I don’t think there was, or will be, anyone like him. Class act👍
this is easily one of the best episodes on the series, such a great atmosphere and it’s pretty cool seeing the Hawaiians treat the land with so much respect and passing that knowledge onto Brad, bravo Bon Apetit

I am so happy that the fox is for the last few episodes has been sustainability and ethical practices when hunting. Too many other people give hunting such a bad name. I'll admit, I had a negative perception of hunting until I was able to see what an important practice it is when it is used for survival, not for sport. And this looks like such a good meal!

Vivian Garcia I 100% agree! Ever since my grandmother and mom told me about what commercial tourism has done to the islands of Hawaii... I just feel so embarrassed about my race. White people can look at an entire culture based on sustainability, family, and respect, and they just destroy it! I wish people could learn the respect and love demonstrated in all these beautiful cultures across the world and keep their noses and money grubbing hands off of it.
