God I miss Andy Griffith. What a legend he was/is. To me, he's the greatest tv dad of all time. They sure don't make shows like his anymore. I had the pleasure of meeting him years ago, and a sweeter man you could not find. Rip Andy

I could not agree more. He lived in the next tiny town over, Manteo NC, right beside the ampitheatre where Lost Colony plays. Everyone let him mill about town unbothered bc he was very vocal about how he enjoyed coming home and getting to be "normal" and not Hollywood life. He could bring your soul to church in his old hymnal.classic gospel songs, too.

Thats a sweet song. Good old Andy Griffith. If your gonna be sitting on a bench and an older man sits down and starts telling you a story you want it to be Andy Griffith. 😀 It brought tears to my eyes seeing him again. I enjoyed that. Thank you!

I had an old man tell me to get used to it when I was stuck in a clothing store waiting on my girl to try on clothes when I was 18. Now I have a 14 year old daughter and I have to wait on both of them all the time. My son gets frustrated and I told him, “get used to it”. Lol!

Great video! Wasn't long after this video when Andy Griffith stopped waiting on a woman. My folks dated for 8 years, 8 YEARS, before getting married. Me being on the way kinda helped prompt them to get married, but they dated for all that time before I was due to come along. They have been married for 43 years, so from June 14th 1975 to now, they have been married and together for a total of 51 years. My mom actually waited on my dad to decide to get married too. They rarely argue, rarely get mad at each other, and they balance things out. They are my inspiration for what a good marriage is, and what I want for if I get married. I've never been married, haven't been interested in anyone enough to go that far, but I know that if I find someone I want to marry, I want to do it like my folks. God's time is not our time. Patience is key.

I forgot Andy Griffith was in this mv...brought back memories and emotions. My dad being a strict pastor when I was a kid we wasn't allowed to watch TV or listen to the radio but on special occasions we would get to watch Andy Griffith, Our Gang, Abbot and Costello, and Laurel and Hardy VHS tapes lol All 8 of us kids would get so excited when my mom would say after finally getting permission from my dad "tonight kids we're going to party" I was 13 by time I found out that most people's partying didn't involve old black and white movies, popcorn and no bake cookies

I love how you describe deciding what you want in a partner and how to get that. I tell my children to never settle but, at the same time they need to consistently strive to be worthy of the type of person they want. When we're seeking out our idea of perfect we must remember we aren't entitled to it, we need to work for it. I love this music video and the point of the song.
