It's a crime that such a fine bass player like Tim Commerford ain't around in many videos here on KZbin, just jamming & shit. I'm so glad that I got to view this video. He is a God, the fella hits the right notes at the right time. That's what I love about him, got such bad ass tones for his bass too.

Yo I NEVER understood why Tim doesn’t get more credit. Yea Tom morello did cool stuff in rage but it’s Tim’s bass that really drove that band.

As a bass player who started in the late 90s, Tim has been, and continues to be, a heavy influence on bassists. I do follow loads of jazz players and funk slappers and get down myself... But Tim has always been a class act and phenomenally rounded bassist. From masterful use of effects and even designing his own pedals, to tight technique and execution. In my top five for sure

Matt Norris He's literally good by anyone's standards. Les Claypool, Victor Wooten, John Myung, would not criticise his playing in the slightest. It's not just about blistering technical ability. (He's more then capable of shooting rapid triplet fills when needed). Who're you comparing him to?

I memorized this bass line 3 days before owning a bass, and once I finally got one, this was the first song I learned (been playing guitar for 20+ years), it's literally Tim Commerford and this bass line that got me to finally make the switch to bass

Thank u soo much for this yo, as a teen in highschool, bands like Rage Against The Machine, played a big role in my life, & one of my dreams is for em to come back together & make music, Tom Morello's doing his solo thing & I missed such a bad ass bass player like Tim Commerford, the same for the man behind the drums, Brad Wilk, glad that he's with Black Sabbath now. But I missed Tim.

Interesting that these riffs sound like Rage. I think its pretty clear who the song writer was. Tim Commerford is the most underrated bassist of the 90's. He up there with John Paul Jones.
