Well put Kyle - I have been averaging 230 plus in league when they start to transition using the purple hammer when others are struggling with reactive.

Great video. I bowled USBC this past year and what you said matched. I didn't feel "matched up" until game 6 (doubles). The reason why the side tournaments don't match is they are typically at a traditional house using their lanes while the USBC lanes are put in fresh. This equates to less depressions and they level them way more often using Kegel's tech.

I really liked this video. It gave me a lot of info on what arsenal to use. I wish there was a way to help a two hander with their ball arsenal.

Kyle, nice bowling last night in the Chameleon Championship! I think you learned a lot in the seeding game and took that knowledge into the Step ladder. I see a win in your future! Great video on putting together an Arsenal for the Open Championship. I am bowling there the same weekend as the Masters and hope to be able to meet you and Brad at the Golden Nugget as I will be bowling the 40th frame game on Friday. Ken

This is good advice...if you are bowling on fresh. If you are bowling on the burn (and it will probably be even WORSE this year than last), then just frozen rope your spare ball and hope that it holds. Unless you like lofting the gutter cap and getting the ball out to the 10 board...where it will go brooklyn unless you have a really weak ball.

Can you make a video for Jr gold bowlers? Just curious to hear your take on ball selection

Can we get some recommendations, that don't include weight holes now? Since, they have been outlawed by USBC?

Great vid Kyle. I am going for my first time this year and have definitely used this vid to pick out my arsenal and help me develop a strategy. Any chance you could elaborate on your practice philosophy at Nationals and movements as the lanes transition at Nationals?

This segment got my attention to your channel and I’m happy to say that after watching a couple of videos I subscribed. Keep up the good work. I do have a question and it relates to the number of pin down drilling’s you used. I’ve avoided pin down in favor of shorter pin to pap (control & earlier roll) and pin up longer pin to pap (control & later roll). What does a pin down drilling give you other than a reduced diff which can be difficult to predict reaction

Thanks Kyle! But a correction for you: in 2017, there were 10,286 TEAMS. That's 51,430 bowlers and potentially 462,870 games (if everyone entered all events).

Thank you and I hope you keep making videos. Though it is actually slightly over 10,000 teams, or 50,000 bowlers (not 10,000). So 10 300 on 450,000 is .00002%

I have bowled in city tournaments and I recommend bringing 3 types of bowling balls. High performance, urethane, and plastic

If you go with freshly cleaned equipment and bowl in BJ, do you resurface bowling balls by hand for team event or by machine there somewhere?

RipD hybrid have you tried this ball? Both Rip D solid and Rip D Hybrid are crazy good!! I agree with Hammer's decision to release these balls right after the Gauntlet Fury. I really think the Gauntlet Fury was a bust on Hammer's part and was a effort to save face:-)

I am trying to find an explanation of how the tournament works. You fill out a form, pay the fee, then what? Can't find a single video or write up that actually explains the tournament journey start to finish and what to expect or know besides how to bowl and what balls to bring.

Awesome video. But what’s your take on having only 5 balls such as jr gold?
@SirJoelsuf16 жыл бұрын
I DO believe in that limit, and it should be even fewer. 3 balls maximum, and one has to be a spare ball. If we don't want people lofting gutter caps after the 5th frame of the first game, then sacrifices need to be made.
@adamatkins14665 жыл бұрын
@@SirJoelsuf1 that doesnt happen at junior gold. At junior gold we have 4 different patterns in qualifying we have to deal with. If you make the first cut theres another pattern you have to bowl on if you make the second cut theres another pattern and if you make match play there's another. So we are up to 7 different patterns with 5 balls to work with vs the pros who bowl on one pattern for a week and get 8 to 10 balls to work with.
