I love these tutorials,thanks guys for having Coach Dan do these with you . He surely helps us all understand it in layman’s terms. He’s great !

THIS is the kind of video that really helps me out! .. I have a hard time, sometimes, deciding on the proper ball to use. I had that problem in Sunday night league this week. Did ok in first game, nothing spectacular. Made some ball adjustments in second game but made the wrong ones. I corrected my ball mistake in the final game and was back into the 200's again (215, which is good for me). Choosing the right ball at the right time can really make a big difference. I'm learning .... Thank you Brad !!!

I have a hammer black/Gold Widow, Rhodman purple, and Statement green. Which I believe are all symmetrical, but have different strengths. Saturday, I bowled 3 games over 200 with two coming from Widow but the lanes were dry. So, to me, it depends on the condition of the lane and how you bowl.

@@jonathancauley5345 - Nice! .. always a good day when you can bowl over a 600 series! .. and I agree, definitely depends upon lane conditions and transition.

I have been on the struggle bus the last couple of years. I had hip replacement and it did not go great I developed so many bad habits. 3 years ago I bowled a couple 300 games a lot of 700's and then I have struggled to keep a 170 average. I finally am straightening my game out with you guys help. I am staying behind the ball and rolling it. You know like I use to do. Anyway my wife made me go to 9 pin tonight to sub. I did really well the last game I had a honest to god 299 real game and 300 9 pin. First time in a while I put 11 strikes in a row. It felt so good, all in the pocket. Using my Favorite Asymmetrical ball ever made. Motive Jackal Ghost. I had like an 817 series of course it was 9 pin no tap so that is not a huge accomplishment, but the last game, the 300 only ball 12 was a 9. Damn 10 pin! Thank you guys for all the help. I am actually getting excited about bowling again, when I was wanting to quite just a few months ago.

This is great because most videos cover the physical game. To bowl well, under changing conditions, you need to understand your equipment as well.

Agree with their assessment. I'm around a 300 RPM bowler but I'm pretty well balanced with speed and I bowl my best with asyms. Currently have an Eternity Pi and an Xponent and I throw the Pi 90% of the time.
@KyleH-b1kАй бұрын
Can you guys explain what we should expect to change when drilling a taller pin and shorter pin please?
@iceman5117Ай бұрын
Shorter pin flares less and flares sooner. As the ball rotates, flare results from the pin migrating from its initial position to the PAP (laying down). When you shorten the pin-PAP, you're pre-laying down the core

What if you are a senior bowler with speed between 11.5 to 12.5 and low revs which is better. I have gone to 13 lbs because of hip and knee issues but still bowl two to three leagues a week and went to symmetrical because that is what I thought I needed to do but really struggling because bi don’t get a lot of strikes and I know I have to get better at picking spares but seems like pocket hits are leaving spares were maybe a asymmetrical might be the difference. I do bowl at st Charles lanes on Friday in the senior league

Yeah I would really like to see a chart with ball speed and rev rate and what the ideal ball would be for each type bowler on a league shot.
@d.ryzner72217 күн бұрын
My understanding is the issue is going to 13lb. Unfortunately 85% of balls out there go to a generic lightbulb type core. If you simply can't with physical therapy and strength regimen get back to 14lb then you need to focus on asymmetrical only for radical balls, hammer balls some asymmetrical and symmetrical need to look at each ball individually and any storm roto or 900 global balls with A.I. core technology that way the 12 and 13lb balls have rg, diff and int diffs that are closer to the 14-16lb balls in performance.

I understand the balls cores, but doesn’t also take into consideration the way you drill the ball that has the reaction down lane?
@aaronspringborn34Ай бұрын
Quick question, even though this was a great video generally speaking for every ball in your arsenal I’m still confused within a six ball arsenal, which should be the number two or the number three ball meaning between the strong symmetric or the cleaner asymmetric? If you can quickly clear this up, that would be great.
@Seanph25Ай бұрын
With these 4 balls specifically it would probably be, in terms of strength or order out of the bag, the following. 1. Ion Max (strong sanded solid) 2. Summit (strong sanded hybrid) 3. Attention Star (strong polished pearl) 4. Phaze Ai (medium polished pearl) So essentially the order he threw them. 1 and 3 being asymmetrical, and 2 and 4 being symmetrical.

i am a 2 hander 400rpm and 15mp ball speed, is my revs too high for my speed and i should not get a asym?
@SealofPerfection28 күн бұрын
Isn't the main difference between all the balls thrown here simply the cover material? IMO the only way to really compare sym and asym would be to have the exact same cover/surface on 2 different weight blocks, drilled the same. Eliminate all the differences except that 1. Then we could finally see if there really is a difference instead of trying to imagine there is one by watching totally different balls being compared. Although I doubt the ball companies would really want that, as I suspect there will be little difference
