I don't really agree with the idea that they are running out of characters. There are main villains we don't have like Nightshroud and the season 1 main villain from GX. We don't have don thousand or cathy. We're missing all the alternate reality characters like Arc V Jack and Arc V Kite. We don't even have Alexis' brother. We don't need to immediately get a new world. We need to finish filling out the ones we have. There's heavily requested characters like Noah and Dartz that we don't have. Also, we don't even have all the dark signers. Above all else, we are missing the real Atem in his egyption garb. We are missing so much it's absurd.

The thing is that the worlds follow a plotline (usually one that adapts the anime plotlines) so after they are fulfilled it's unknown if they will keep releasing "story" characters, like villains. For example Arc V story just teased Zark and Yuri as villains, so they may not release Sergey or Roger

@FranciscoRamirez-nb4uu Konami released throw-away characters like Lumis and Umbra just to fill out duel monsters' world. I think they do the initial chronological run with the most popular and go back to add more. The only gx villains we have are Sartorius and Yubel. In duel monsters, we basically have every manga villain. They were added long after Marik.

There's still so many characters from Zexal they could add, aside from the missing Barians, Vetrix is still a option(they've given us characters way late before so why not), Number 96 could be added as his card form still isnt in the game yet, Heartland could become a playable character, just give him the fake numbers 1-4 and have his unlock event add a Zexal 3 skill for Yuma and Astral, and speaking of they can still very easily make Yuma and Astral their own separate characters

You know Komoney could make Chronicles a world by giving us the main character from each archetype as a playable character with lines for their respective decks. So make Raye a character and give her lines with Sky Strikers and make Albaz a character with lines for every deck related to Fallen of Albaz. Of course, they won't do this, but they defo could.

@@zerogear6049 Fr! MD is arguably worse than the TCG at times because of their different banlist. It already has most _or all_ of the toxic bullshit that the TCG has... *plus Maxx C.* Do we seriously need to turn DL, the only real "other" way to play the game right now into just a third version of the exact same thing? You can argue it's already sorta getting there in card pool and power creep, but skills add something new and can shake things up to make a more fun and diverse meta when done right. You can expect high tier decks from the TCG to be absolutely dominant when they come to DL, only for their power to get matched by anime decks that got busted skills. Things like Luster Soldier have been runnable and even meta before. Blue-Eyes got memed to shit at first for being the brick deck that only "yugiboomers" would attempt to ever play online... and how long has Blue-Eyes actually been good or even _meta_ before thanks to skills? (And it's still a very runnable deck!) They can *most definitely* improve in _how_ they do skills and _which_ characters they do them for, but why would someone think completely canning that aspect of the game is the solution here?? Lmao

Making a monster spirit world is a good idea. Everyone wants Tour Guide and Dark Magician Girl. That being said, we are missing main season villains like Dr. Faker and the ex principal from gx. One of the characters I really like is Cathy Cat chan. We don't have her or even all the dark signers. They gave us the Paradox bros and Bonz, and you think they aren't ok with giving less popular characters an unlock for some reason. We are missing a ton of characters. We don't even have egyption Atem.

I'm hoping a year with no new world means they look at old characters and give them new skills, maybe a couple characters for a world. A lot of characters could do with more skills for their main decks, and waiting until they release new cards for them (looking at you Jesse) is always painful. I think setting a standard for 'no new world, we're upgrading characters skill pools' can help to build up hype, especially with them running out of characters.

ZeXal still has plenty of potential characters. There's Tron, Dr. Faker, Mr. Heartland, Droite, Gauche, rest of Yuma's friend group (dude who was class rep, that sneaky guy, Cathy), Vector, Eliphas, Number 96: Black Mist. Arc-V is still missing Tsukikage, Shinji Weber, Mieru Hochun, the LDS Trio (the kendo guy who used X-Sabers, the fashonista girl who used Gem-Knights, and that other guy who used Constellars), and I guess Battle Beast, Sergey, and possibly Z-Arc, oh and Akaba Leo. 5D's we're missing the other Dark Signers, the other two of the Iliaster trio (Luciano and José, to give them the same treatment as Placido), and Team Ragnarok (the dudes with the Nordic gods). Vrains is pretty much just Blood Shepherd, the remaining Knights of Hanoi elites to match Revolver and Specter, the Ignis, Ai (human form), Roboppi (Human form), Bohman, and why not upgrade Brave Max to an actual character choice. Sevens pretty much just upgrade NPCs from the show (i.e. Saburamen, Yoshio Atachi, etc) to actual characters, and the remaining Goha siblings and Kaizo. I know practically bupkis about Go Rush so I can't really say anything on it.

There's still loads of gx characters they could use like Atticus, nightshroud, kagemaru, all the other shadow riders and hell they could even use a lot of the one off characters the stoner moki moki guy, the tarzan dude, the duel giant, the frog using princess or the guy from gx season two with satellites, also just remembered chumley and sartorius' sister, i know a lot of these characters decks would probably need a lot of improvement but there's nothing stopping them from just creating new cards for duel links or tying multiple decks to a specific character for example you can still give chumley koala cards because of his in show deck but then you could also give him a skill and some cards for a newer beast type archetype that might suit him

I honestly disagree with a lot of this video (not saying it’s bad but some of the picks to me are kind of unrealistic). I think a new world could be a DM anime world. The box could give us the new blue-eyes support and the Shining Sarcophagus of Light deck for regular Yugi. The world’s events could give use the waking the dragons characters or really any filler character. I do think February will be Manabu (Maddox) I don’t think we’ll get Nash but rather maybe Number 96 since he was kind of a minor villain. I really hope we get Yuga Goha this year because he is definitely an important character/villain.

for rush; They're definitely doing Goha Yuga, unlike most SEVENS characters, he has a significantly larger amount of support akin to characters like Mimi. You also missed Hunt (The Dinosaur kid who uses Dynamix); Since Megaroad 2 and the release of SEVENS world they've timed large amounts of legacy support with the characters they put into the game. Hunt is getting 13 cards worth of support in the Triple Build Pack coming next week, so he *should* (in theory) be the next SEVENS world unlock, likely with Sneezy Greedizauls as his animated ace (since they've already shot the gun with putting Dynamix in early). Hunt also works really well with a super mini since we have a decent chunk of Dinosaur stuff from Rush in Duel Links already. Rituals are probably not coming till Kuaidul. They still have to properly do Equips, Fusions and Maximums in go rush which will take at least a year, probably more than a year. All three mechanics have their own dedicated characters with Rovian, Lugh, and Phaser.

I don't know if these characters are gonna appear but cross duels had the kods from the OCG, mainly because they were in an old 2015 game for the 3ds so give us that as a world and later add the manga characters like Yusa Shoma and Shiori

I like your individual guesses of characters yet think the themes might play out differently. For instance the final bosses, while prevailing into OCG Series 12 isn’t really likely to be back to back cause they’re individually climactic and won’t co-conspire. I expect some amount of months between Don Thousand and Zarc and Humai. I wish for March/May to be Rush characters and February to get the Vector event just so he can share a loving month with the Yuri rerun, and not have ages since the last Speed Character. Less prevalent characters have a better chance if we skip the next world, and I wish for GX and 5DS to ride again. Keeping momentum with World though is a good tactic to get to 10th Anniversary having that be the legacy of DL, and if we do get one I would love either the DM3 (Anime) or OCG Structures (Manga) so they can say they tried it. I think we all expect Arc-V to dial back after it overperforming this year, but I’m surprised nobody like Shinji Weber or Sergey Volkov was brought up. Moon Shadow would only service the complete set of Lancers, and the Tyler Twins would necessitate characters like Battle Beast also make it in. I bizarrely find that the last character before a world pauses isn’t the final boss, so after Zarc I have saved up Yusho Sakaki or potentially Riley Akaba in the lead up to Human Ai, Otes, and other true final additions.

Good video. However, I think that your predictions are off the mark. We will still get around 15 characters like last year, even if no new world is released this year. We will get a character this month (Soulburner & Flame or Flame by itself) as the event description is the same as for most unlockable characters (collect items to face the event character) and there has to be one new character before the February KCC (0 after November KCC so far). There will be more double character unlock events to allow for this. I think Nash + Marin and Former Dark Signer events (Misty, Greiger, Devack, Roman) are good examples. Also, if we do get a sequel to DL, it will probably focus more on an alternative format (probably tag dueling) or a new but unrefined gimmick (VR) so that there are still enough reasons to play DL. The sequel would probably have a more limited card pool to start as well. One copium prediction for me is that filler characters start to be released this year. Cap their level-up rewards to Lv. 15, give them 1 exclusive skill, and have less/no voice-acting and Konami can release them in small groups.

I REALLY hope they don’t screw up Nash’s release. He’s one of most beloved characters out of any series. He deserves to be his own character and not a skill. Completely new voice lines and greetings for certain duelists after all of his character development. Ideally we should get a new Shark and have that Shark be the one that gets Barian Battlemorph.

1. They should consider testing new cards designed specifically for Duel Links. 2. There's plenty of content available for Duel Links, even if it's based on filler episodes or movies. 3. Duel Links connects different worlds, and if they expand into the Chronicle world, it would be fascinating for the developers to introduce new game mechanics. For example, they could implement something similar to Rush Duels or any previous YuGiOh games. I imagine they could introduce a mana/resource mechanic for the first time. If you've played games like Ancient Gods: Card Battle RPG or Card Guardian: Rogue Deck RPG, you'll know how these systems work-using mana/resources to activate cards. To make it even more unique, decks could consist entirely of spell and trap cards. Your character is your only active monster.

I don't mind if there no new world as long as Konami update the character chants of summoning their new support card. The most interesting part about duel link is those chant from the character when summoning their monster. When new cards take over, the game felt mehh boring when there is no chanting when using their own new support cards. If we were to get new world. It should be a speed world from 3DS game or the new manga. Those character deserved to be in game. Other franchise does not afraid to add new character from manga into their game such as Vanguard DD2 if we are talking about card game. if we were to need unlock character, we should go down to DSOD world. that world needs new continuatioin story from the movie like how Arc-V world have their own continuation story

A lot of Konami's current problem is that many characters that could be deemed as important in Arc V and VRains just don't have their stuff printed. Leo Akaba and Riley Akaba could make sense for unlocks, but their archetypes are non existant. As far as I can tell all Ray Akaba really has to herself is the 'En' continuous spell cards, which could go to either her or Riley.. and then who do we have that's actually Major? Yusho and Z-arc. Like shown in the current event, While I doubt anyone was clamoring for Shinji, Sergey didn't even get a silent event duel spot, and Roget got handled in a cutscene. The Tyler Sisters could be a fun Lumis/Umbra sort of surprise add, but if Sergey isn't being used for Earthbound Servants, plenty of doubts. And obviously the Gladiator Beast duel will be nothing more than a cutscene Then you got VRains.. Shepard, Windy, Lightning, Bohman (maaaaybe Harlin), 2 of the Ignis and 4 at least important characters starting in Season 2, not a single card printed. Kind of ironic that EARTH is the Ignis who recently got his support. So Once we get Akira Zaizen after whatever they do with Flame, and apart from Earth and Aqua.. who else do we really have cards for past Ai and Roboppi? Queen and her one duel, because Allure Queen was getting pushed?

thing imma say is... rovian and manabu will switch places. and were gonna have the lugh instead of manabu in rovians place. people are gonna sya no. but if we would be getting manabu hed already been added.... but putting that in. imma say that at the end there it would be manabu in september bringing the bigger maximums that made the meta just horrible XD. and then have a speed character at the same time. kinda like how rin and lulu was but instead its 2 diffrent events. instead of a world. and you can play both at the same time. we get a ton of gems for it. both player bases get a box. and this i think would bring a main box for rush again. because those maximums are way to good for a minibox... its like putting nibiru in a minibox (horrible example but details it was the only meta card in master duel i could come up with) xD. this would also bring go rush fusions in. which are already named in the game all the cards we need are just the spells and the extra deck. we got yuamus full roster. then to 2025. for rush its gonna be an easy year. otes coming to celebrate the 10th. but for go rush... i think phaser will come year 3 as a duo event. and that will bring both brothers. its either that or we dont see manabu till 2025 and i think people dont want that so i think this makes more sence.

When GO RUSH!! World launched there were leaked playable character ID's for Zuwijo and Maddox and Terza Flatwood's NPC ID. Maddox isn't 100% confirmed to be Manabu, but he's an obvious next candidate for the next GO RUSH!! character added to DL and he was introduced very early in the anime. Logically Maddox is almost certainly Manabu. Just not officially confirmed yet.

Cross-Duel even though CrossDuel having better animation & love care from Developers than DL. But unfortunately, Cross Duel is shut down. It is a game released on the same year as Master Duel. People won't having much time or even want to try the game.
