I binged this yesterday and it about killed me. I was sobbing. Such an incredibly emotional season. Their acting has really stepped up. Haley Atwell was a great choice to sub in for Olivia Coleman, she did a wonderful job.

Amazing season. All actors picked up their game but Joe really got me with that phone call scene. Excellent way to mature a show. Thinking of how almost unrealistically sweet they started and seeing how it goes, amazing work. Even for a comic reader. Also, the fact they shot these beach scenes during october or november, they really did a terrific job to act casual and fun and relaxing while freezing. They went in and out of winter coats shooting and you can even see Kit's skin turning purplish at some point.

The food stuff really hits close to home for me. I was bulimic all through highschool and to an extent beyond, so it's really good to see a mostly balanced representation of EDs and how they affect people. It wasn't portrayed as this awfully horrible tragic thing (like as if there was no help, or like all the responsibility was on the person suffering), but it also wasn't just looked over. Some stuff felt a _little_ breezed through, but the importance of the issue was never diminished or anything, and Charlie's reaction as well as that of those around him felt pretty true to life for the most part (at least from my own experience). I'm glad that people can see a realistic portrayal of EDs that isn't SO overtly dark and gritty, if that makes sense... Seeing all of the super dark representations of those sorts of topics (even with the LGBTQ+ stuff) is necessary, but isn't always helpful for people who are actually struggling. That's part of the reason why I've always loved this show. It tackles heavier subjects like accepting one's sexuality, falling in love for the first time, bullying, coming out, EDs, etc, but it does so in such a sweet and _hopeful_ way that doesn't make it seem as horribly tragic and scary as the kind of media I grew up watching from 15-20+ years ago... Those stories are important as well, but there needs to be a balance.... Idk if that makes sense to other people, but I'm not sure how else to word it 🤷

As a comic reader I was really hoping for the shower scene to be in it and its a rare thing to say but the show managed to catch the cuteness and goofiness of it and enhance it with Nick's slow realization of how he fucked that moment up in the sea. I really did love how the first episode endeed. Cuteness overload.

I think they worked around some of the moments she's in alright but at some it's just weird they didn't simply added a voice over or something. Could have been done from the studio at any time.

This season made me cry so much and was so hard to watch. I have struggled with anorexia and ocd exactly like Charlie. I understood every word that came out of his mouth and it made me so sad. However they displayed is beautifully and I can’t wait for you to see :)

In the books Nick had that beach conversation with his Mom. So when it was made official Olivia wouldn't rejoin this time, everyone knowing the comics got worried as this scene is literally everything. His aunt was never in the original material but I really think they solved that issue very smart by making her a professional, too. As lets be honest, Nick's Mom's judgement considering her former choice in Men wasn't the best so her wisdom as limits.
