just got home from seeing this in the cinema in edinburgh an hour ago (it's 2am) and yours was the first reaction i wanted to see! as a long-time super-fan of the movies i definitely agree that this is a phenomenal entry - especially considering that not many franchises could survive and even thrive after a change in both a writer (who was the original creator) and visionary director! it continues now, 25+ years later, to be not only a love-letter to the history and adoration of horror but now: to its own legacy.

I mean, without the logic we get as someone watching the movie, in that situation, you see Ethan is one of the killers, the same one who stayed behind in the subway, who was the other person missing?
