This is our exclusive first look at the Bradford Knives Guardian 3 Sheepsfoot, a high performance EDC fixed blade made from Bohler M390 with a variety of handle options. I have the Swedge Blade with Stonewash. I ordered the folded (taco style) Kydex sheath in case I did not like the leather sheath that comes with the Guardian3. I actually like the leather sheath, though it fits tightly on my belt and I would not try on my thicker belts. I carry it at 11:00 and I am able to easily access the knife with either hand. I use the Kydex sheath when I have no belt and carry the Guardian3 as a neck knife.

Yeah, the loop on the sheath will work on a regular belt but probably not on duty belts. Kydex is an excellent option and Bradford (or who ever they have making their sheaths) does a top notch job.

If you are not wearing a belt I would recommend an Ultclip, It works for me with My CRKT Minimalist. I plan on using the same set up for a Bradford Guarding 3 or 3.5.

GPKNIVES it actually does work on duty belts but definitely has to be stretched out a bit before it comes on and off easily.

Prices are going to run between $170 and $200. It will depend on blade finish and handle style (3D handles are more.) G3 Sheepsfoot fixed blades are live!

Are the coated blades okay to use for food prep?

Some say 3D for ergos, some day textured for slimmer profile. The slimmer nature of the textured (checkered) handles seems negligible though. Would appreciate your thoughts! Also, do you feel the extra length of the 3.5 is intrusive or would it be preferred? (talking all sheepsfoot here)

Both feel fantastic! The 3D is much more rounded, while the textured has more of a rectangular feel in the hand. Personal preference, I really enjoy the textured - the angular design locks in my hand really well. And for the 3.5, it depends on the size of your hand. I have smaller-medium size hands and the 3 is just right - 3.5 would be better for larger sized hands 👍
