We have an Atlantic White Cedar Bog in Windham County Connecticut. Maintained by Joshua's Tract Conservation and Historic Trust. Visible from high above on the Airline Trail, a rails to trails. Not sure exactly how to get down in there. I had no idea those trees could live a thousand years. Or that there were Sundews and Pitcher plants. Good video guys. Keep 'em coming.

Thanks Blair! Supposely there is a tree in Japan they claim is 7200 years old. Just amazing. Of course we won't want to be the ones that verify that by counts the ring after it dies! 🤔😜

Thanks for taking us along. Interesting and informative as always. Enjoyed the botanical identification and seeing the North American species compared with those we get in similar ecosystems in the UK. Peatlands are threatened worldwide and it was lovely to see such an extensive one so well preserved. Good to see from a kayak's eye view too!
