Most of the litter I encounter comes from the same four brands: McDonalds, Red Bull, Costa and Starbucks. Honestly, standing up to a herd of cattle is the best thing. It doesn't feel natural but if yourself bigger and taller (raise your arms or walking poles), they'll often be deceived by their own poor eyesight. They may still follow you and sometimes closely. But in my experience, they will rarely give a proper chase unless you run or have a dog with you. Good luck! 👍

Nice one Olly, good advice. I might design an anti-cow walking jacket which inflates to about ten feet if you pull a string or something. (It is very early in the design process).

I played left-wing for Brading F.C. under-13's from 2003 to 2004! I wish you had submitted your song by then, because all I remember the parents singing was 'eff this and eff that'. I loved the waxworks too! I remember buying some old fashioned jelly babies from the gift shop and was impressed by their ability to induce a sugar coma. Thanks for another cool walk!

If Brading FC don't adopt you as an official mascot/songster, they are missing a huge opportunity. I can see the crowds all pulling out their Marek masks and donning them as they break into the classic Larwood anthems! Keep up the walks and the internal dialogues!

Most of the road litter here is empty beer cans. Not so much in the winter though. As to cattle, I'd stay close to the fence if possible for a quick exit. Not really an issue since we don't have public footpaths going through pastures. Farm stories: my dog pissed off a cow and ran behind my dad to hide. Another time she sat in the middle of the gate that he was trying to herd the cattle through.

Never used to be concerned about cows in the slightest up until a few years ago. Now that they have got the word around that we squish quite easily, I'm taking more concern. I make sure I have an escape route and stick to the edge of a field and avoid eye contact where possible.

Me n Finn dog were pursued by a herd of cattle quite recently.... I filmed it. I thought I wasn't going to be scared but among the persuants were a couple of mad ones that charged from the rear and tried getting Finn dog. We kept our cool, following the Cool Dudes code of Staying Cool, until near the field exit where we made a dash for a gap in the hedge as our quickest exit rather than the awkward gate. Feeling safe and brave I began cussing them only to realise they had begun making a bolt for another large open gateway further up. We ran away. 😄

Okay, I feel that fear. Once got chased by a massive herd of cows one late afternoon. It was especially inconvenient as I was crossing the field to get to the car to drive off and have a poo somewhere. The rapid exercise and total fear resulted in me doing a wild poo braced against a tree. Only recommened if constipated.
@cdwc

I am trying to work out which it worse being constipated or chased by cows. I imagine the dual sense of relief after evading the cows and unburdening yourself was incredible.

Cows are inquisitive so they will come up to you and check you out, it's best to either stand still or just walk away slowly. Do not run as cows think this is a game and will run after to you. They may try to trip you up as well, especially near cowpats, watch out and good luck cool dudes !

That place with the winged cat looked pretty cool, it's a shame it's now gone. If you get chased by cows the official action is to run away from them as fast you can. When it comes to litter it is definitely people who eat McDonalds and drink energy drinks who are the worst for littering. They should be locked up in those stocks and have litter thrown at them.
