We just watched ten minutes of playtime, night fight club. Cute though

Looks like play fighting. Considering how grizzly bears fight, this looks like of posturing and bluff.

I know I’m 6 years late to this comment but polar bears generally fight slower than other animals. It’s just a way to not lose energy since they literally cannot afford to do so in such conditions, and because they are also humongous animals
@hakeeemquaviantavius4 ай бұрын
Plus Grizzlies are the only kinds of bears that fight so explosively like that, they’re a different level

Kotna Kerry exactly! Their teeth are sharper than other bears teeth and better designed for slicing meat! They are also the largest land carnivores on the planet.

If you ever watch small cubbies little guys they're so cute because they look like they're fighting with each other they're rolling around biting each other usually mum is watching them it's so cute .When I was watching polar bear town it was Dennis Campari you probably know him he is a polar bear guide up in Churchill Manitoba as well on one of the ''polar bear town.''. episodes he pointed out the fact that these guys were brothers and that they were just sparring for practicing while they waited for the ice to freeze. He said they were known around town as the nuisance twins. I believe this footage Or similar footage was used on the ''polar bear town'' episodes. If you can get a copy of episodes of Polar Bear town I would highly recommend watching it is one of the best reality shows I ever seen ,now I want to go to Churchill and see the polar bears thanks for the awesome footage Brad

How come they're not a bloody mess? Maybe that thick fur. I usually see them fight till one has had enough....he backs up a bit then walks away. Do they ever fight till one is dead? Is fighting mostly a testosterone thing? It seems they play spar even as cubs.... Guess they're learning...
@LawrenceTimme2 жыл бұрын
They are clearly not fighting properly they often draw blood when they fight for real.

I was very interesting to watch those polar bears wrestling fighting over a female I guess or they can be pretty vicious but I think they'd rather play with one another but when you want your lady you got to fight for her God bless ✝️✡️🐼🐻🪐🌹💖🦨

Polar bears typically meet up to spar, and even hang out after. But this kinda looks like a real fight but with 2 polar bears who probably have previously known each other so are not going all out trying to do real damage. Unlike the grizzly, they don't claw and bite to tear the flesh of another bear. It's more of a show of power skill & endurance.
@Bev194611 жыл бұрын
The heavier/older one seems to tire (open-mouth breathing) more quickly than his challenger(?) but still has a weight/technique advantage I think. Was it the middle-weight one taking on the smallest (observer) at the end? So very interesting to watch how they help to make each other stronger and fight smarter!

If it takes the ice too long to form, won't they start killing each other for food? Sad for these beautiful, yet deadly creatures. 🐻 (And no polar bear emoji?)

@Abs910611 жыл бұрын
It basically is play fighting. It's sparring. There obviously not gonna go in with claws and teeth since there's nothing to compete over. They're just waiting for the ice to freeze and so practice their fighting and stay in shape in the meantime.
