Polar Bear Fight, 2021 Churchill Manitoba

Two enormous male polar bears spar, or play fight, on the tundra near Churchill, Manitoba in November 2021. Filmed as I was guiding expeditions for Natural Habitat Adventures. ‪@nathab‬ These bears hone their fighting skills, and build an understanding of where they stand in the hierarchy of the community which helps their success during the real fights of the breeding season, in March and April on the sea ice. Filmed with Sony A9, and 200-600 G lens. Due to extremely high winds the video was very difficult to avoid shake, but I stabilized it in Imovie which crops some off the frame, accounting for the instances the bears went out of the frame.
