Thanks a great podcast. I agree with what you say . Ping drivers are great for the ordinary golfer too as are decent value wedges like Cleveland and the hybrid. I stick with a trusty half mallet putter

Residual value is such an important consideration, I consider clubs as being on hire. Cost price, less sell price gives you your club rental over the duration in which you use it. There lies the problem on direct to consumer clubs, cheap up front, but limited residual value, so can end up costing you more. Beware. If it seams too chap, there is probably a good reason.

@@codyr4816 I have had both versions and they both perform the same. Very consistent and forgiving. I did not go with the TT stock shafts as I have a set of Modus shafts they I like. I built my entire club set other than driver. Also, if you have not tried the Maltby wedges, they are very inexpensive and perform just like any mainstream wedge. Worth every penny.

@@codyr4816 I’ll put it this way, I have had several friends and people grouped with me try them. Have had four friends get irons in the standard shaft and they love them. Had those same four friends and two others buy the wedges. DTC brands like Takomo, Vice, Maltby, etc all have this hurdle to jump. It’s tough to buy bad irons these days for a good cost.
