Once upon a time... I didn't know some color remover had bleach. So I grabbed the loreal color remover and my hair proceeded to fall out from nearly the root. I somehow didn't cry as all my hair fell into my hands. My friend gave me a hat (bless her!) Then I got a pixie cut and waited 2 years to finally have growth back. ....I still dye my hair but I pay very close attention to new products I have never used. I use my judgement and am always willing to have a darker color in favor of pretending 30vol doesn't exist outside of my professional stylists hands. She also only handles the bleach lol! We all learn. 🥰 my hair is long and healthy now... follow Brad's advice and your hair dying process will be FINE. If you're nervous with bleach go to your stylists guys. You got this 🥰

Once as a young teen (13) I let a friend of the family who graduated "beauty school" but couldn't keep a job at a salon to save her life give me a cut (she had trimmed my hair several times prior to this) cause we were poor and mom figured we'd save money that way. Well she cut it uneven then blamed me a 13 year old for "not sitting still enough". Then she went to fix it and did it AGAIN! I nearly cried right there because what was supposed to only be a simple cut to style my hair turned into basically a pixie which I had just started growing out two years prior. I was so upset but ever the people pleaser I let her perm my hair because I had decided I wanted one and mom told me we were already there. I almost got perm solution dripped into my eye then parts of it "didn't curl right" so she used a curling iron and burnt my neck. Yes this all happened on one day yes I looked like a frizzy powder puff with my super fine already curly/wavy hair I just didn't know how to take care of it. We got home and I told my mother she is NEVER touching my hair again. My mom trimmed it for me up until I was 19. It was so traumatic.

Sadly, hearing/watching/reading the instructions repeatedly does not translate to being able to execute them properly. Doing the actual thing with your own hands (and especially on your own head) can be quite tricky for many people who don't do a ton of fine motor skills requiring tasks on a regular basis.

@@MundayKnight Same. It is so much fun but at some point you have to choose between the healthy hair and messing around. I never cared much about cutting off what needed to be cut off because I like having short hair. So I regularly just put dye over all my hair every couple of weeks because I don't have the dexterity and patience to just do my roots. But now I kinda like my hair long so my previous approach stopped working for me. (The high maintenance part is actually because I like my hair long and short and couldn't decide so I got an undercut)

@@nukhbaguloter @ hey! I thought the same thing so basically the product needs to go on hair that has been super recently washed with no grease or products. So what I did is the night before I washed my hair and let is dry over night and did it the next morning, since it only has to sit for 20 minutes I put a shower cap on shower shave sing whatever lol then rinse it. It’s really worth the buy! Just be careful because the bottom of your shower will be slippery when rinsing but that’s nothing unusual. Hope this helps! 😊💕

I think the Color Oops has peroxide in it but some don’t. The ColorFix one doesn’t. That’s why I chose that one. No hot roots or need to be super careful with application. Did it a few times and washed my hair a million times with hot hot water. It looked really good and definitely cut down on the times I needed to bleach.

I use to have the exact same eyebrows as the first lady and one of my friends at the time had to have ...a talk with me. I am still grateful to that friend for that talk she was uncomfortable to have til this day lol ❤

Yeah you're right about the greys! My sibling had so many greys pop up in a short time and just getting a few highlights really helped to blend everything in. I think I'll do the same thing when the time comes
