I always wanted blue hair but couldnt get it bleached light enough without major hair death so I settled for purple, when the purple faded it was finally the perfect canvas for blue and I finally have the blue of my dreams 😊

*Not about blue* I have natural strawberry blonde/copper hair which makes bleaching hard to do at home. Fun colors don't usually stick well to my virgin hair BUT I tried the xmondo Rhodolite recently and WOW! It turned my hair a really pretty dark burgundy/fuschia. It also faded beautifully into a dusty pink and then rose gold. It stuck almost a month before completely disappearing which is long than any other color has lasted on my virgin hair. Definitely buying that color again but also curious to see what other colors would work over my natural hair color!

Brad, colorist here. I dont know if they sell them anywhere else other than our professional supply places but there are color removers that DO NOT change the natural haircolor. On permanent dyes they shrink the color molecue and thats why shampooing a specific way is important as well as testing if enough is removed. They smell bad like sulfer but work well. Since there are no color moluces to remove on natural hair it does nothing to it. If enough color is not removed the hair will go dark when new color is applied but this is all techno info so ill leave it there. These removers work very well for either a slight change or something more drastic. Rusk makes one and i think Schwarzkopf. Just for your prof info.

The one I use smells like horse piss. Does the job though and makes my hair feel great. It stripped back one layer of black over two of red, in one application. I'm surprised Brad is an advocate for bleaching out a colour, which as we've seen can absolutely ruin your hair and scalp.

I meannnn the tub isn’t that large and it’s pretty expensive compared to other semi permanent hair colors. That said, I have copper hair and will only use mondo super orange for my color refresh. I do have to mix it with a bit of conditioner though because it is very pigmented and again. Love brad love his line, I’m just saying it could be a bit bigger for the price lol

Hi all! Discovering bleach baths was a moment of brilliance for me. About every 3 to 4 months I do a bleach bath on my hair (leaving on for 5 minutes). While you might think that won't do a thing, it opens the cuticle enough for me to put on Brad's Super Blue and it is pretty much permanent! My secret? I used to hate sectioning my hair until I realized it causes more work for you to do later on. I like to section my hair in four parts and do each section at a time. Starting off with section one letting it process, rinse then move on to the next.

Idk much about K-Pop Idols and how often they change their hair color, but it really depends on a lot of factors. For example, what kind of dye they use, what shampoos and conditioners are being used, how often do they wash their hair, etc.. I can keep a color for a while because I shower twice a week, use shampoos and conditioners that are safe for colored hair, and I tend to use semi colors because even though they don't stay as long, I can keep them in my hair for as long as I want and I can put it on my hair as many times as I want without damaging it further. Once the roots start growing out then I just lighten the roots and color it just like anything else. Depending on the color there are also color depositing shampoos, conditioners, and masques that can be used as well, meaning those times in the shower can lead to having hair stay longer as one color due to putting that color in your hair more often. It's also easier to go along the color wheel to change colors, such as if you start with blue and want something different you can do a purple since all you would need to do is add more red to get that purple color unlike if you wanted to go from blue to red you'd have to try to remove as much of that blue as possible before adding red to prevent having purple. For those who have short hair, you don't have to worry as much about having color from like 3 years ago like you might with some longer hair, making it easier to know the hair history and working with it. Also, hair treatments. After bleaching my hair or using permanent hair colors I'll use conditioning masks to help bring in moisture that I stripped from it and some masks can even help add the oils and/or proteins that you stripped as well. These masks can help your hair be able to handle more. Also, if heating tools are being used, then adding heat protectant will help keep from the hair being more damaged (everyone should use a heat protectant even if they don't dye their hair). Lastly, some people's hair can just handle more than others. Everyone's hair is different, much like anything else on the human body. You and I can have the same hair color and hair dye history, but yours may be able to handle the damage more than mine because my hair might naturally be a bit more dry and brittle, which makes it more likely to cause significant damage to the hair. Of course, this may not at all be what they do and instead, like a comment above said, it could be wigs. Much like how Dolly Parton wears a wig that many of us believed was her real hair, the K-Pop idols may do the same. It's a more convenient way of having different colors at any point, doesn't cause much damage to the hair, and it can even make it to where if they wanted to travel without being recognized then they may have a better chance at not being recognized when they're able to take off the colored hair and have something natural that no one has seen before.

8pm on new years day. I used xmondo hair colour yesterday. OMG. My hair has never felt so soft and healthy. I have allergic reactions to so many permanent and semi permanent colours. With xmondo i had none. Id have loved to bleach my dark hair to get the best colour from the super berry and super blue i used, but cant do that either. Im still so so so pleased with the results. Oh why, why am I doing this to myself. I told myself I would NEVER use Color Oops again not alone bleach my hair. However, I decided I wanted to do some fashion colors as highlights but I also wanted the fuchsia that I did to show up more. Long story short is the health of my hair is pretty much still intact as I've gone crazy with the bond building protection and mask. It's still uneven and because I decided I would just tone down the orange blond, looks ok, I used a lavender toner. I could live with it for a week if I need to but I'm going to bleach it again but I don't know if I feel like using a high developer even while I know I will need to to get to level 10 but as it is now it's a level 6-7. I've also changed my mind and I think I want to try lavender on my hair and if it doesn't work I could always use a filler then go back to the fuchsia. I might take myself to a pro if I can't figure out myself how to do it while keeping the health of my hair. Maybe just try time and patience... which is something as an ADHDer I'm bad at. Maybe these fails will help to cheer me up.

Xmondo color is probably the best hair color I’ve used. An entire jar lasts me about 2 to 3 colorings, and actually rebuilt the bonds in my hair. Excited to hear it’s at sally beauty. Definitely going back super red im the spring
