My roots, that what I meant by natural hair, that's what turned yellow after bleaching (you couldn't tell before I bleached it). I was dying it because it gave me more of a pigmented look.

@@jenniferford2067 I live in AZ, which is really hot and dry so the sun tends to bleach people’s hair here. The sun on my neutral brown hair turns it this awful ashy dark brown which isn’t cute. Before I started bleaching my hair I’d do a henna/indigo color treatment to bring some richness into it

Yes. Thank God nobody took pictures but when I was young I decided to bleach my hair. I don't even remember what I used well.... I didn't have enough but I figured I could spread it out and make it work. 🤣🤣🤣 the front looked good. What I didn't know was the back had clumps of blond. As you can tell I have very dark brown hair so it was awful. I put on a hat. I was getting on a plain that morning. I know🤦‍♀️ I landed and got in the car and my mom looked at my hair and said what the F have you done. I should shave your head for being that stupid. We stopped at the store got what we needed and it was fix that night. Thank God. My mom's ex was a hairdresser for celebs. So she knew what to do. He has passed but we will never forget the hair transformation we got through the years. He was sooo good.

Because of Brad Mondo I’ve learned a lot about doing hair, I started bleaching my friends hair (with their parents go ahead as well as theirs) and dying their hair. I’ve never been so proud of myself til my friends hair after bleaching for 30 mins was blonde with foils and the roots took 10 mins. And because I was so careful with the bleach while also covering each strand she wanted for her peekaboo with bleach, her hair is still very healthy! She wanted neon green for her peekaboo and it turned out beautiful, I’ve never been so proud of myself. So because of Brad Mondo, I’ve found a passion, and will be going to cosmetology school

The first girl’s video is actually the perfect example of what stylists see when someone isn’t honest about using a box dye on their hair but more than that,black dye specifically.that is what it looks like and is also why multiple sessions are suggested.I appreciate her patience and technique and honesty.she already knew from Jump the amount of work she would have to do but she made it happen.only thing I would suggest is for her to use a protein filler and stay on top of her hair treatments to stop and prevent further breakage.oh and trims.she did a really good job❤️especially for doing this at home.

I’ve done some atrocious things to my hair with bleach and, in over 20 years of bleaching my hair, I’ve still never managed to destroy my hair. I’ve sat and bleached my hair 3 times in one day, each time progressively longer, starting at 45 minutes for the first bleach, and my hair still came out soft with no breakage at all.

Dude, I haven't even gotten done with the first girl but she should have realized the reason the stylists said they couldn't was for a reason. More likely they probably told her they could do it but it would take time and she'd have to go through several darker shades and sessions before getting to light blonde. There was no way in hell that bleach was going to get out that box dye with 30v developer in 1 go or even get all of it within 3 sessions. If she had just had patience a stylist could have helped her work her way to light blonde and kept her hair looking and feeling amazing.

Yeah I mean my natural color is red but I do use henna to enhance it. It looks beyond natural and my regrowth just blends into the henna hair when I redo it twice a year.

I bleached my own brown hair at home to white and I put lavender roots and I got so many compliments on it! The only problem is the up keep. I am now back to a brown with highlights again I did it all myself. I also, cut my own hair using the wolf cut and it works awesome! About 13 years ago I went black box dye to white in one 9 hour salon sitting. I did want to go for a pixie cut anyway so my hairdresser agreed (award winning colour specialist and mad woman ❤) and it looked AMAZING! I don't think that would work for long hair though!

I've had black dye in my hair multiple times (my happy color) and I've gotten it back to light Auburn or blonde multiple times as well and I ALWAYS recommend to do a color remover BEFORE bleaching. Helps so so soo much in the long run.

Yes Brad, you are single handedly saving us lol. I donated my hair for the last time about 2 years ago. This is the first time I can go blonde since this hair is MINE!
