In a world with all the fitness confusion, you’ve really helped me understand better what I need to do. Especially the point about the 150+- calorie buffer. Feeling much more encouraged and equipped to tackle my body

Wow I've been watching quite a few people on here and not had much luck and couldn't understand why until now, I've watched 2 of your videos and you have explained it the best! Thank you for this! My deficit is too large and not enough protein 😫 thanks again for explaining this.

Excellent video again. I appreciate it because it's so in line with everything I'm experiencing now. If I had this video a year ago, it would have made a massive difference. The practical way you explain it with the applications on your real experience and life makes it easier to follow, because I can place myself at what point in the journey I am. Keep going with these please. I hope a lot of people see this. Yes, there are nuances and differences in your own personal journey, but generally if you follow this it will work. I also did excessive amounts of cardio and lost a lot of muscle while starving myself. Got severely skinny fat. Now, in my second cut, I'm down from 20% to 17.9% in a month and it just looks so much better. I walk 12,000 steps a day and that's my cardio. It works for me and I enjoy it. But being patient, knowing my calories and macros and doing progressive overload training in the gym has been an absolute game changer for me. I was on 1850 calories last month, and upped it to 2000 now as my body fat came down, but my muscle mass did as well, so I knew I was under that golden 500 calorie deficit. Macros currently at 200-ish protein, 135 carbs and 50 to 60g fat. Brad, you really do know what you're talking about. Keep sharing your information. You may not realize it, but you giving this info and plan away for free may save someone's life. Thank you very, very much!

Thanks for these videos, Brad. I've really enjoyed your no-nonsense approach. I usually get turned off by a lot of the uber-masculine aggressive vibes you come across on a lot of youtube fitness channels and your videos have none of that which I really appreciate and makes it a lot easier to understand!

This was so good! New subbie. This was concise and easily understandable. I am currently in a recomp as well. I am female, petite at 5’2” 113# , have always been moderately active but had lost a lot of weight a few years ago because of not eating much secondary to tummy issues. Those are better and I put on a few pounds of fat mostly I imagine as no training and low protein. I don’t look skinny fat as I have good shape and walk a lot daily in my daily life. I’d like to lose about 5# of fat and build muscle. I am currently lifting but can only go up slowly as I have a shoulder and elbow injury so have to go up in weight slowly, but I am getting visibly stronger. Can I just stay at my normal calories, ensure 1gm protein per pound and recomp with lifting or do I need to lose a few pounds first? Thanks!

Superb content, just wanna ask one question to HIIT. is it possible to perform it while swimming? I think it's complex workout for whole body, maybe better than sprinting. What's your opinion? Thank you.

Brad your videos are the best. It’s really what I needed as I was losing motivation. Just a question… can a upper/lower split (4 times a week) work? I have a really busy schedule with work, kids, family etc I look forward to your response. Thank you

Hi Brad, I have been trying to get shredded for a good 9 months now but I drink about 6 VBs a night which I think could be the problem. Is there any way I can get shredded while maintaining my VB intake ?

Guys dont make the same mistake i did: eating too little carbs. They are essential. Ive slowed my metabolism, had too big a deficit and was constantly constipated. 300-500cal deficit is plenty.

Protein won't make you gain fat. You can eat as much as you want as long as you stay slightly under maintenance level of calories. Alot of protein and very low carb intake, staying well hydrated and strength training at least 4 times a week is the key.

I am 35% body fat . Wish to get down to 15% in 4 months.. Will do a push pull legs 3 times a week, walking 10,000 steps a day, and yoga/ body movements to increase flexibility. How much if a calorific deficit will work for me in a clean , protein, veg rich diet?

Brad, how long did it take you to get to 13-15% body fat to under 10% body fat? Would you recommend a 72-hour fast to get body fat % down?

It takes a few years, seriously, not 6-8 weeks before you really see significant improvements. Unless you're gentically gifted and eat really well, it really takes years. These 6-8 week transformations people talk about on the Internet are just not true- in most cases. It is going to take 3 months minumum before most people even get their muscles and bodies used to lifting weights. It takes time- years, not weeks.
