My township offers a five mile drive to a one mile long Main Street that has a police station and fire hall and one bank you know Mayberry type town with Barney Fife the deputy. No joke then north of my Township 15-18 miles is a college town with 100k population and all the Big Box Stores and shopping centers one can desire and just two miles from my door The Miller Amish farms that sell me supplies so I have all three ways to trade for supplies in the middle of the sticks and I got a natural spring that supplies free cold water year around free . God is good all the time.

I purchased 5 acres with a deeded right of way that is 66 feet wide and it is as long as the section of property because I’m sitting on the corner of a 640 acre section the county surveys. 1/2 mile long 66 feet wide with trees growing and I have a road that reaches my other property with a new barn a Dutch steel pole barn with a 16x 20 loft! The scenery is paradise! God is Good

Hi Brad, I'm from the UK and was wondering how difficult it was for us Brits to purchase a place in the US and live there permanently? This sort of property seems ideal but obviously it depends on the technical details.Best regardsJerry
@BradSimmons8 жыл бұрын
+DarkMantisSr I would discuss this with a competent immigration Attorney. I do know nationals buy land here all the time, so that is not an issue. Some buy with an Attorney as a Trustee, some buy in a company. So the US company owns the property - and you are an employee of the company. Again, I am not a competent person to give advice, but you can google an immigration Attorney or better yet, just a GOOD Real Estate Atty in Lexington - they can give you all the logistics. You could start with a super Real Estate Atty we work with often, Holbrook and Holbrook - Jeremy Holbrook's number is: Address: 1084 E New Circle Rd, Lexington, KY 40505 Phone:(859) 255-1211 Hours: Open today · 8:30 AM - 6:00 PM

+DarkMantisSr , Haven't you heard, this is the United States Of America!! All you have to do is fly here and never leave! And if you are poor and have 6 kids, the Government will pay for you live and give you free health care.. The Democratic party is doing that for illegal immigrants so that they can get their votes.. There's around 12 million illegal immigrants living here now, and some even get arrested for bad crimes, and the democrats see to it, that they are set free without any jail time.. The sad part is, legal U.S. citizens can't get near the help that the illegals do... But hey, this is the U.S.A. the land of the free!!

@BradSimmons8 жыл бұрын
+Marko Markuezovic not at all - it is a good and fair question. Snow is all you'd need to worry about and that is not much of a worry. Honestly, we get about 2"-3", 2-3 times a year - and it's gone in 2 or 3 days. Some winters we get more, some winters we don't get any snow. But with 4WD or AWD, I would worry about it. You'll either have a small tractor - or your farm guy will have one. So no worries.

is that a small cabin at the end of the drive in the back yard? it seems to be some kind of structure, but you never showed what it was. also does the tractor come with the property? is it used just for mowing or does it have the needed implements to actually work the land? you did not mention the water source? does it have a well or is it on "city water" is it in a code or no code county? (Building codes require a tone of permits and paperwork to even put in a smoke house or chicken coop) --Rick
@BradSimmons7 жыл бұрын
+Rick Coona - yes, that is a cabin - perfect for hunting, hanging out, etc. It does have City water - or you can catch rainwater if you want. Used to be very popular here with a large cistern. There are building codes - but it is not onerous. Zoned Agricultural, you would not need a permit for anything like a shed, barn, coop, smokehouse, etc. It is easy here --- not the wild west either, just easy and friendly. And there are Counties with no zoning regs at all nearby - if you need that. Call Jeremy 859-684-2979 or go to BluegrassTeam.com and sign up for our newsletter. Its cool - comes out about 2-3 times a month with new properties.
