Hi Everyone (Mindys mom here). I wanted to explain why I bring out the fall decor so early now. When we lived in Ohio I hung onto Summer because it was a short season up North and decorated in October. Now that we are in Florida and it is HOT from February/March to October/November by August I am over it and ready for the cooler weather to arrive. It is HOT HUMID and rough here. So that’s it. Plus I like to change up the house. Since I work from home I get tired of looking at the same stuff and need a change. If I was in the North there is no way this decor would be out yet so for the critics/haters I can understand your feedback but it is what it is.

Julie, I am right there with you! I live in Kentucky, and I have had my fall decor up since the end of July! I LOVE fall & winter, and all of my decor makes me so happy! I usually have my Christmas tree up by the first of November, and take it down the day after Christmas! lol.. It all looks beautiful! I love your home!

Don't let anyone change your mood about fall/Halloween decor. Decorate as early as you want! I honestly start decorating right after the 4th of July. Well my home is a bit on the spooky side all year round, but you get what I'm saying! Lol. All the other tubs of goodies start getting added. Your parents place looks awesome and magical!! I think it's good to show bad days. We all have them, it's normal, especially with the state of the world. I just started nursing school and I stay stressed, tired, have days where I need a minute just for me. I’m still all for the idea of Halloween being celebrated on a weekend every year. Halloween just isn’t as big of a deal as I feel like it should be.
