Dani it is wonderful to hear from you. I met the Braille team in Seattle and had so much fun I decided to make the 6 hour drive to Spokane to hang out again. I've been skating since the 90s, and I was also born in 1988. Skateboarding has always had a subculture of disrespectful and immoral people. Every sport has a shady element. Skateboarding itself is not the negative image that the subculture presents. Rodney Mullen invented most of the tricks that people are trespassing to get street clips of. Rodney Mullen didn't need to use other people's property in a destructive way or behave like a thug to be one of the best skateboarders of all time. Braille skateboarding reminded me of hanging and skating with my friends without the negativity of hurting your community. Much respect, Aaron, for making skateboarding awesome again. Your wife Dani seems to truly love and admire you. Thanks for everything you've done for modern skateboarding, Aaron.

I have a comment for this, about skateboarding being a sport, when you think of it yes you can compete you can try one trick versus another against another person who does what better what looks better as they do the same trick etc. etc. This can easily be compared to gymnastics, for instance. they train and train and train and train and train and sometimes when they compete against each other they don’t even do the same thing. But they’re judged against each other on style and grace and the art form of it. Which is directly comparable to what skateboarding is. But those are just my thoughts as I’m listening to this podcast. Truly enjoying it.

Aaron, I'm starting to feel like it just won't ever kickflip. I have been skating well for about 4 years but have messed around on and off my entire life. I have good board control and have Ollie's and 180s and 50-50s that's it so far. Heelflips are hard too.

I think it's great for the parents to see someone like Aron skateboarding not on drugs so they feel its ok for there kids to do. Cannabis should be 100% legal in the Olympics and all sports. But only Cannabis or 5 hour energy.😊 I ride bicycles instead of skateboarding, but I've watched every single episode of braille skateboarding. 🍿😁 its the greatest skateboarding channel on all of youtube in my opinion.
