I've been living in Isl for the past 12 years but my actual hometown is D I Khan. Came here as a kid. I don't think anyone living in islamabad actually IS from here. From my experience at least. They just move here for better living standards and better opportunities as well as education. So there are a lot of different mixtures of people living here. But mostly Punjabi's..... But I'm always delighted to meet people from D I Khan. And our food is also slowly making its way into Islamabad markets. There are some pretty popular food shops opening here that make Food from D I Khan and surrounding areas.

That brain dish is a very Punjab side rendition of the original dish which is served in a thick spicy tomato gravy and looks like scrambled egg, unfortunately what you saw is definitely not the most appealing rendition of this dish :) Good luck to your future food adventures :)

Mike!! Saag is not spinach! It’s made of mustard greens! Palak is made of spinach! I went to Haveli when I went to Lahore in December and it was the best food I had in Pakistan 🤤 it’s nice watching one of these videos and knowing how everything tastes ahahaha

@HPlan Search Sarso ka Saag , made with mustard greens, it goes with makki ki roti, basically corn flour roti, similar to corn bread. There tend to be a few condiments like jaggery ( brown sugar) and ghee/butter.
